Maybe if the OWF wasn't as boring, or as uninteresting as it is, maybe then I would stay on a more permanent "posting" basis.

I am retracting any nominations I have made, and abstain from voting. I see no reason for wasting my time voting for MORE mods when we already have enough as it is.

I say this because "apprantly" Alcar and Abe Babe have decided to close off the registering option after the release of Steefs game.

There is hardly going to be a massive inflow of new visitors and users if you turn off the registration. And if there are going to be no new visitors and users then there needs to be no new mods.

But I am going to enjoy watching this forum grind to a halt and die because of too many mods and not enough new people.

And yes, you may take the above paragraph as a suggestion of what will probably happen.

After reading the topic, I have concluded that was all a joke. This forum would not disconnect itself from new oddworld fans, etc. We have dealt with our share of problems over the past few years, and each time we overcome the problems. These forums arent going to die or crumble anytime soon. Period ----->.

I don't blame Death for not wanting to be on the OWF. So many people were mean to him and were totally un-welcoming when he first joined and got the rank for Oddlympics. Maybe if more people were nice to him, he would stay! I like you Death!

Yeah, but I wouldn't blame him. It's a common mistake, as it's kind of difficult to pinpoint sarcasm over the internet. That's one of the problems with forums. Several other members took it seriously, too. That includes Old and Not so Tasty, who I consider to be one of the wittiest and quickest people on here.

Well so ok it was a joke. I didn't know that. You English have much more complex jokes than the Russians. Not only is it about playing with words but it's about playing with meanings too so it all gets confusing.

This is exactly an example of what not to do. Dont vote for your friends people. Vote for the person who deserves the position, and is the best suited for the job. Actually, a company called Riada started it, by making a little wizard that could make LED style java tickers. The only website I know of that hosts one of these is www.Aliens.com, the dialup provider. And because I can't be bothered to upload my own .class file I just use theirs. :D

Yep happening to me too, that pop up keeps asking me to install it. But i refuse everytime :p

Any thread I visit with the Newsticker takes five minutes to load. It also freezes the browser window until that time is up, and then suddenly acts normal.

Actually when I cancel the "Java Virtual Machine" dialogue box, the IE window stays open and I can still see the newstickers. Hmmm....

Oddguy I know, but I didnt care to give him the credit for it.;) Trust me I know my history around here.:) I plan on taking it down for a while, it is good for a little bit but annoys even myself.

Yeah, I took down my ticker earlier than expected. It was buggin' me and others, so I just got rid of it.
