Just got the posters. They sure are bigger than I thought they would be. They're huge! I can't wait to frame them. The only problem is that each of them are bent on the bottem left corner. Although, it won't be noticable once they're behind glass. Now all I need is some money for frames! Until then I'm keeping them in the tube.

Xavier 05-14-2004 09:50 PM

heh... mine are framed too...
they are absolutly brilliant, they are hanging in my home.

Software Bug 06-28-2004 01:22 AM

Oh, and check out this wigged out Abe magnet...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Wigged out!

I know this is old, but I just wanted to say something, because stuff like this is the reason eBay pissses me off now days.

That isn't official merchandise. Some guy went and got them made up himself and is selling them to cash in and make money. OWI aren't getting any royalties, nor are they licenced.

People do it with FF merchandise all the time, they make their own and it pisses me off, because much of it is worse than that magnet, really cheap and nasty stuff that looks bad. There was even one guy once who used a wallpaper I made for my Advent Children site as a T-shirt. He even left my website URL on it ... so I guess free advertising for me.

What I don't understand is how people can get away with it. Like the gaming companies should put a stop to it. I know it's probably not really much different than selling a promo item you picked up at GDC or E3, but I just think it's low to make your own merhandise and trick people that it's authentic.

Abe Babe...

the brew master 06-28-2004 08:15 PM

well i can see how it pisses you off

Software Bug 06-29-2004 12:34 AM

Yeah I got pisses off once when i searched on google for oddworld sites and then i found a site with a picture of oddworld that I MADE for my website but now its on ther homepage!!!
I mailed the webmaster about this an he said he "borrowd" from my site.
since then i have a NON rightclick code on my site but then nobody vissits my site anymore so i clossed it.
But i wil reopen it soon!!
This is just SICK if other peaple steal you pictures with your copyright on it!!!

Sekto Springs 06-29-2004 09:08 AM

Disabling the right-click doesn't really stop anything. You just have to take a screencap and crop it in an art program.

Cloverfield 06-29-2004 09:21 PM

LOL ... that's what I do. ;) I see fanart of Sephy that I want to save and people disable the right click, so I do that. Or I go to View -> Source from the menu and work out the URL of the image itself and enter it in the address bar. But I just save them for my collection [over 1000].

When using fan art on any of my websites, I will only display fan art that people have sent to me, and provide an email or url for the original artist if it is somethng they wish to have included. Although no one has sent me OW fan art for like forever.

Abe Babe...

Software Bug 06-30-2004 08:23 PM

LOL i say too,

I save fan art as well but do not use them.

Xavier 06-30-2004 08:48 PM

easy way to get rid of the non-right-click
click left, hold it, click right,... it works on my computer ;)

Software Bug 06-30-2004 11:05 PM

i think this is not a HOW-DO-YOU-DISABLE-RIGHT-CLICK Thread or something so we better can go to the BUY-LIST thread!!!

Oddworld goodies on ebay :

A T-Shirt :http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...113601267&rd=1

strategy guide :http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...114618454&rd=1

Sekto Springs 07-02-2004 02:50 PM

That's the second shirt on Ebay with that Vykker design. Where do these people get it? Ah, who cares, I already made my own with the design I posted earlier. :p

Software Bug 08-06-2004 10:30 AM

ive seen 3 shirts of abe and munch and vykkers on the Groningen Markt (gronigen market) !!!! never thinked you can get them here!!!

Xavier 08-06-2004 10:42 AM

I wonder if they were real or some selfmade...
can you describe them?
what kind of store is Groningen Markt ?

Software Bug 08-07-2004 03:23 AM

groningen markt is just a market with many stalls dont know how you call it in eglish.

the abe an munch has both a can of blitzpacker in their hand and the vykker shirt is also a vykker with a can of blitzpacker.

guess they selfmade.

OANST 08-27-2004 08:12 AM

oddworld in ebay

There are munchs' oddysee shirts being sold on ebay right now. You don't have to bid. I think the seller has a lot of them so just use buy now. I just bought one myself and they are really cheap.

oddguy 08-27-2004 02:07 PM

Grrrr. I have no moolah to spare. :( I'm saving up for Halo2 and the Oddworld art book.

-oddguy

Wil 08-28-2004 04:49 AM

I have both those t-shirts, and that patch. That seller must have a stock supply of those, maybe he grabbed them when a warehouse gave up trying to sell? I dunno... The t-shirts are each done by different companies; the woman's one is black, the youth one is navy.

I'll integrate this into the existing BUY thread in General Discussion with Alcar's help. *does so*

Software Bug 08-30-2004 07:06 PM

now there is a seller thats has 13 of those patches!!!! where dit he get them....

The Gungrave 09-07-2004 02:15 AM

A car boot sale....there were 2 T-shirts of the drink can design too. Some dude who used to work in marketing was having a clean out. The patches were very, very nicely made though. Were these officially licensed?

OANST 09-08-2004 10:25 AM

Yeah. They're official. I got one about two years ago.

Leto 09-08-2004 09:05 PM

Sorry, guys...

Its been a long time since I said I'd get those pics. Sorry 'bout that (Had to go out and buy a FRICKEN webcam that sucks). Here they are, in all there glory! (Edit: Munch model's head, body still being worked on, you see, I'm a lazy person.)
The attached images won't show :fuzemb: . Because I'm a n00b!!!1!111!, could someone tell me how to get them to work? (They are attached...)

The Gungrave 09-09-2004 12:10 AM

Very nice, yes indeedy. They look alot better than I thought they would, very detailed. I'll be on the look out for them. I'm currently kicking myself for throwing away an A2 poster of Munch and Abe when I moved apartment....forgot about it until m'lady reminded me yestersday. On a side note, the patches on Ebay were fantastic, beautifully rich gold and purple thread. The seamstress is gonna use em in a patchwork jacket and for a bag she's just made. OI getting free advertising..I WANT COMMISSION!!!!

OANST 11-19-2004 01:03 PM

I got the can they were giving out at E3 for MO recently. It's pretty nice. If anyone has any Gabbit Juice they would be willing to part with for a price let me know.

oddguy 11-19-2004 02:53 PM

Yeah, I was the bidder against OANST for that can. :crying:

-oddguy

OANST 11-20-2004 06:40 AM

Well, you ended up making me pay 30 dollars for it. I certainly appreciated that. (grumble..grumble..):)

Odd Trusting 11-20-2004 08:44 AM

Well if you can't find an Oddworld t-shirt make one at www.zazzle.com or go to www.cafepress.com and click create your own product. With Cafepress you can make everything from mousepads to bumper sticks

Godlesswanderer 12-21-2004 05:26 PM

They sell all the Oddworld games out so far on www.play.com and I think you can pre-order Stranger. Also, I think they sell the strategy guide.

Alcar 12-22-2004 05:31 AM

I didn't see any link to purchase the Strategy Guide on that (play.com) website. Unless I had to search for it.

Either way, there were some Munch's Oddysee E3 stickers being sold a few days ago? I was contemplating on buying them, but didn't. Did anyone here pick them up?

Alcar...

Wil 12-22-2004 04:15 PM

Yes, someone did. :)

Godlesswanderer 12-22-2004 04:37 PM

:

I didn't see any link to purchase the Strategy Guide on that (play.com) website. Unless I had to search for it.

I searched for it and it looks like I must have imagined it. Also, the only OWI game they sell is MO. So I wouldn't recommend going there unless you want a cheap version of MO and if you live in the UK or Europe (They only sell PAL and European versions).

OANST 12-23-2004 10:00 AM

I got some of the stickers.

The Shadowman 01-01-2005 05:44 AM

Me too, payed $10.50 for though, man I must be insane

Alcar 01-01-2005 06:54 PM

I just won some of the stickers too. I should probably go and pay that now, before I loose them :p

There is also a portrait of Abe floating around eBay, but I don't know of its legitimacy. Though it looks to be signed by someone.

Alcar...

The Shadowman 01-04-2005 09:07 AM

I got a 2001 Munch's Oddysee Ad off ebay for 2 bucks

Software Bug 01-04-2005 12:57 PM

guys , the last time i cant find anything on ebay exept AO,AE,OA,OA2,MO,MO_GBA
if somebody knows another site or something with cool thing can i have a link:p

OANST 01-05-2005 07:32 AM

You just have to keep checking ebay. I've gotten a ton of oddworld stuff off of there.

Fuzzle Guy 01-11-2005 02:32 AM

Does anyone know if the Abe Model is Availabel anywhere. Cos the Link Xavier gave at the begginning is all sold out.

The Gungrave 01-12-2005 12:55 AM

I seem to remember Lorne commenting on it a while back...as nicely done but not officially licenced...hence, it ain't being made no more. Some of the artistes on here have been busy with clay etc and might be pursuaded into a commission for you.

Fuzzle Guy 01-12-2005 10:14 AM

When it said that in the artbook, I thought it meant that there were two Abe Models, one of them with an Axe, the one with the Axe was the illigil one.
