I'm really excited that this could be a flashback scene, as Shade_Meadows mentioned. Filling in some backstory on how the whole slave situation came to be - or perhaps the rise of Molluck as a foreshadowing to his demise at the end of the game - would add so much depth and be so much more captivating.
This is going to be a fantastic story and a fantastic game. I can't wait! |
What if these are the mudokons who go with Abe after the three weirdos' allucination to Necrum, and are captured after separating from Abe? It's a re-imagination of AE, so this could be a possibility, just theorizing, because they look like new Mudokons being enslaved.
Or just mudokons from the Necrum Mines. Also, thank you very much for the image OWI, it's really awesome, that feeling I had with the first two games on PS1 has come again, that Glukkon's look, creepy... I'm just waiting to play this game along my brother like in old times :). |

But more importantly, whoever he is, I agree it's definitely odd to see a Glukkon supervise his own slaves. Honestly, when I saw this, I imagined something really top-secret obviously because of how cryptic this whole marketing stunt is. So this leads me to believe that seeing him there is a direct indicator of just how big of a deal this operation here is - a possibly illegal one, too, if we're gonna go with all this secrecy. Like maybe wherever this is, that gluk doesn't have the legal rights to the land this operation is happening on? Since Soulstorm is gonna be a remake of Exodus, I can only image that the bags they're carrying are bones rolled up in bags - though that somewhat retcons how the original means of keeping the secret was stitching their eyes shut. Maybe these guys are a third party to the actual diggers and they only move the bags, never being allowed to open them? Also... Back on the subject of the mudokon's eye, I honestly think that's more of a computer screen of some sort than a door. If you look closely, you can see a small light in the center of that black spot, which leads me to believe the black bar is actually a figure of some kind overshadowed by a light behind him. Maybe this is a new version of the Greeter security bot, or some other kind of machine? I can't help but think of the sentries from Portal. http://i.imgur.com/pzqp4lJm.png https://cdn.instructables.com/F1R/HG...P9G.MEDIUM.jpg |

Anyone already post this tweet from Spirit of 1029?

I was sort of close though. Guess I need to look a bit harder. I saw that too as I remember Abe sometimes being depicted with pointed nails lead me to believe that mudokon naturally this way. Also if you look reeeally close at BB's left paw, you can see a teeny tiny little pinkie nail. |

I've been thinking about those codes on the Mudokon chests and it seems to me that using tattooed binary code as identification technique is completely sub-optimal.
With six binary characters you can encode 64 (= 2^6) different combinations while with normal decimal values you can have 1000000 different combinations (both including 000000). This means that to obtain the same amount of different combinations they could have easily used only two decimal numbers. Of course it could be that the Glukkons are well aware of this and simply like to have the chest tattoo to be as intrusive and as painful as possible. |
I thought it was molluck as well but molluck wasnt the Big shot Brew Master was the Big Boss so was Brew master like a apprentice to molluck or did he Take over this is what my theory is since the pic has been revealed
|
:
Since Molluck mysteriously disappeared (may or may not be the case in Soulstorm), it makes sense that the Brewmaster would just continue doing his job alone. |

I'm not sure I'm getting the point you're trying to make here. :fuzconf: |
The meetings in AE seem to be covert, like not the sort of stuff you'd want your investors to find out about
|
Okay so this really isn't anything major, but I got this email from the Oddworld mailing list that I subbed to which had the image attached in it and I noticed something really small in this version that really threw me off.
![]() ![]() See it? That Glukk is seriously giving me the creeps. |

Bottum: The glukk looks into the camera. That IS creepy |
Well spotted, I just glanced over it assuming it was the same picture.
I've now included it on TOGG as well :) http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...5/category/109 |
