Until it starts pumping out things like the helicoprion. Then you just have to wonder what the fuck it was thinking.

Right now I'm getting all excited about June 9th. As soon as launch day arrives, I'll be getting on my PS3, downloading Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty and doing a livestream no matter what connection I'm on. I live away from my BT Infinity but I hope it comes out after I left College so I can stream on my fiber optics!
I just hope it is released before i start University, I won't have much time to myself up there
Luckily for me, I have just finished university for good, and as soon as we get a confirmed release date, I shall be booking that day off work. I did the exact same thing for GTA V.
On the day it's out I'll be downloading it straight away and I'll be on twitch as soon as it's finished downloading. My twitch live stream will be a playthrough and after that I'll so a save all 99 on YouTube afterwards.

Sad bastard.
Urgh. Grow up, Nep. Enjoy your infraction.
:
Was that really necessary of Nep? I'm not a youtube gamer but i would like to upload a walkthrough of NnT, even though i cringe to the sound of my own voice, don't have subscribers who are necessarily interested in gaming as i upload music i write and don't have great technology to record it.
I was joking, if that hurt his feelings in any way that's his problem. For the record, you're all sad bastards, including me.
:
I don't even know what an infraction is! I'm guessing it's like detention at school, but for forums..
If you get 3 of them you get banned, basically.
If you get enough, within a certain timeframe, you get temporarily banned.
:
I love paradoxes. I'm excited to see... dammit. They've already shown us Scrabania and some Paramonia scenes. I don't know then. |
:
If that's the case nobody would be allowed to say anything because no matter what you say you'll offend somebody.
Oh, I'm quite prepared to offend people; I just don't blame them for being so. I choose to be a cunt, and the consequences are my responsibility.
That's quite enough. Topic, please.
I'm excited for mushrooms.

Free-Fire Zone and the secret areas :3
I wonder how secret areas are being handled with the new camera system, actually. It was easy to hide secrets in the original because the perspective never changed and everything was always viewed directly from the side, but in NnT the camera is always moving and shifting perspective.
Also how about those secret ledges where Abe just phased through solid platforms? That won’t fly any more. |
Technically Abe never did. Since he always climbed down behind a barrell.
:
I mean, maybe they could make it so Abe actually climbs down the side of a platform or something now that I think of it, rather than head-on. |
A ladder possibly that is on the side of the platform?
Yeah, they could make a small, inconspicuous ladder. Would have about the same effect as the barrels.
or a big neon sign saying: "There's no secret here."
I will say, I wasn't a fan of brew bottles marking out the secret areas in exoddus, I found it fun trying to find all the secret areas.
I preferred listening to the environment rather than looking at it to find secrets :P
Even Lanning himself said that you should listen out to find secret areas, in the very first screen of AO you can hear the meat saws.
:
Hearing a Slig's mechanical legs, and thinking there will be one up ahead, then moving forward onto the next screen only to find that there is no Slig up ahead. Cannot wait to find the secret areas in NnT! ----------------------- Ugh. Why haven't I mentioned at the very end; when you drop down in the boardroom with all the Glukkons, and release your Shrykull powers on everyone! My disc would always freeze on that part, (I guess because it's too epic) and I would have to turn off my playstation; so I'm really excited to see how it'll all look in NnT. :D |
guffaw
I just finished replaying AO yesterday and, until then, had never realized that the boardroom full of glukkons at the very end will guffaw at the sight of your death should you die before pulling the lever. It's darkly funny.
So, I'm looking forward to seeing that again in all it's new 'n' tasty glory. |
I want Abe destroying the glukkons in a cutscene. Just to make Shrykull that more epic.
:
My game used to freeze in the sense that the pull ring wasn't in the game so the only option was to wait to die from gas poisoning!
:
@JennyGenesis: I guess my little playstation couldn't handle much anymore. I always played AO on it rather than my dad's silver Ps2 back then. @scrabaniac: Shit, how often would that happen? ------------------------- To stay on topic: I'm excited for the new areas they'll add in. One moment you'll be in a familiar spot you knew from the original, then boom, a totally new puzzle to solve! That and Elum, did I already mention Elum? :p |
My first disc was fine, but that got eventually lost, like every CD rom anyone owns. When i bought a second hand disc the whole game played perfectly, but the last screen glitched out and there was no pull ring! I had to learn the drop turn technique to finish the game. Apparently its not uncommon for it to happen, ive seen others have it happen to them too :P
:
I dunno, I thought there was something really satisfying about killing all those Glukkons in game.
There's a certain degree of separation watching enemies get defeated in cutscenes. I think Molluck's enough for that. |
Ooh how great it would have felt to defeat Molluck in-game! I wouldn't change the cutscene at the end for anything though, it's still a great feeling seeing 100s of Mudokons cheering your success :P
I'm excited about all the excitement that's excitingly going around about this new and exciting game.
