I thought the first Silent Hill had some great set design and the creatures were truly unnerving. That's about as good as video game movies will ever be. |
Despite the fucking up of the story. I can forgive that though, it's an enjoyable film.

I always felt that if Silent Hill was going to get the movie treatment, it would have to have that kind of avant garde feel. The surreality of SH is welcome material for arthouse horror. The movie was more like a monster showcase, which was awesome in it's own way, but it wasn't really Silent Hill for me.

The film had it's flaws, but to be honest it was a fucking Oscar winner compared tio that shitstain that was released last year.
It was pretty much Hollywood saying "Luk gaise Luk wat we can do wiv special effex hurr". I don't care how good it looked, it was a fucking mutilation of Silent Hill 3 |
Lars Von Trier should direct a Silent Hill movie.
