Their target audience is one part Dads who want to identify with something their sons enjoy but don't have it in them to actually play a video game, one part general stupids who will watch anything and one part complete fucking tools who see the face tentacles/big axe-wielding zombie/Leon and say "fuck yeah I love President Stevil". And one part me, who saw the newest one and was utterly blown away at the impossible world depicted. And the villain was that fucking computer child from the first movie.

I think you're talking about 'Extinction', that isn't the newest one, but it is by far the worst.

Uhh nope, Retribution. Saw it in the theatre last week. And I don't think you can quantify one as worse than the others. They're all drowning in the same mire of impossible pseudoscience, egregious CG and slowmo, and a bouqet of terrible writing that is dwarfed only by the half assed cast thrust down our throats year after year after year.

They're all telling the same story, all rooted within this fucking retarded mythos and thus one big gestalt slice of downs-syndrome entertaining, lowest-common denominator appealing crap.

But the newest one added another layer to the crap custard. It just couldn't stay away. It was a loud movie. So loud it drowns out all thought and emotion and feeling, so loud it shakes your teeth and whines in your brain saying you paid money for this. This is on you, you putrid motherfucker. Pay witness to Milla Jovovovovishs skintight bodysuit and buckle in. You are not getting this time back.

Retribution is already out?
If I'm honest, I think the first one is the only one which has any decency, it's still a bad film, but it's nothing compared to the others.

I watched the first 15 minutes or so online with a friend. It was a pretty lame 15 minutes.
