So that you can't use it.

Oh. It's a business card?

You'll like my mate; He's a right odd-ball.

Scott is fantastic.

:

And since I don't have a ticket I'd like to know if I can see anybody afterwards.

Argh, if I'd had access to OWF when you posted that I'd have tried to get us to at least step outside. But I had to catch a train at 8, so we wouldn't have had much time.

:

()
Oh. It's a business card?

No, it's a QR code.

Nate 10-02-2012 04:21 AM

:

No, it's a QR code.

Yeah, I realised that much. Business cards with QR codes are nauseatingly common at the moment.

STM 10-02-2012 04:23 AM

Yes, they're business cards. MM, Crash and myself now work at JAW! Yes.

I'd be surprised if everyone who met him hasn't been kissed by him.

I met Wil and have not kissed him. Huzzah!

So that you can't use it.

I forgot, what was those code things for?

MeechMunchie 10-02-2012 01:38 PM

They generate a URL when you scan them with a smartphone. The one in question links to secret Oddworldy things that I didn't think I had the authority to distribute.

I met Wil and have not kissed him. Huzzah!

But you won't get the "Kissed a Dev" achievement for N&T!

Crashpunk 10-04-2012 09:14 AM

MudoCon blog post and even more pictures!

E: Meech was mentioned as a Wil superfan.

MeechMunchie 10-04-2012 01:24 PM

Didn't I say, Chris, didn't I say! "I just know that I'll be forever known on the internet as The I <3 Wil Guy". But when has anyone called me "Chops"? And shouldn't that be 'Chops, anyway?

Wow, I really do have a reluctant smile.

Wil 10-04-2012 02:46 PM

Come on, Pupbenny and SligStorm. Point yourselves out!

STM 10-04-2012 03:18 PM

I love that second picture, if I wasn't so intent on keeping my irl life separate from my internet life, I would put it as my cover photo on FB.

Nate 10-04-2012 05:40 PM

I fixed the page stretch for you, MeechMunchie. You're welcome.

Wil: That guy just looks wierd in the first photo.

Xavier 10-04-2012 10:07 PM

So what did you guys did during the meeting? Just chatting with each other or also other stuff?

Havoc 10-05-2012 05:37 AM

Wil had Chris in a confined space. Do you need to know any more?

Crashpunk 10-06-2012 02:38 AM

Lies. All Lies!

It was Meech and Wil in the confined space.

:

So what did you guys did during the meeting? Just chatting with each other or also other stuff?

Yeah pretty much talking. I spend most of the time chatting to Meech, STM and Glitch. and of course Wil when he wasn't busy. We were mostly talking about New 'N' Tasty and asking Glitch about the game as well as Oddworld in general. But we often just got distracted and talked about something else such as Minecraft.

People also got stuff signed by Lorne in the same room and each person ended up having long conversations with him. I didn't actually meet Lorne personally (as in me and him talking) which I'm still a bit gutted about. But in the end we all had pictures with him which was awesome.

E: I did say "Hello!" to him at the start of the event actually with him saying it back :D

E2: Oh and course we had a Q&A with Lorne and Stewart. But you might of already knew that. :)

STM 10-06-2012 03:35 AM

I also didn't get to say much to Lorne. When he passed next to me in a corridor when Chris said 'aye up', or something along that description, I tried to say hello but I choked and sorta squeaked so all that came out was, 'sir!' Which I proceeded to call him for most of the evening. >.>

We did share a bonding moment over Valhalla Rising though.

Crashpunk 10-06-2012 03:56 AM

Oh god that's right. I nervously blurted out 'Aye Up' to Lorne Lanning.

Nate 10-06-2012 04:23 AM

You don't need to feel bad about it. Both times I met him it was pre-planned so he was expecting me, and yet I still felt sick with nervousness.

pupbenny 10-06-2012 06:11 AM

I'm suprised. I wasn't nervous really I think. I spoke to him alright I mean.

Hulaabeo 10-06-2012 10:05 AM

You guys are beyond lucky. XD

OANST 10-06-2012 11:57 AM

I mentioned that I sat, and chatted with Tim Schafer in his office for about 45 minutes, right? Did I mention that?

What I'm getting at is that you people are really bad at being star fuckers. Suck it up, and talk to the dirty hippy already.

Wil 10-06-2012 12:03 PM

But you've had decades more time than some of the people here to grow those sorts of balls.

STM 10-06-2012 12:03 PM

I did. About Valhalla Rising.

Now then, who's Tim Schafer? Is he an American footballer?

I am not that much older than the rest of you, you bastard.

Bullet Magnet 10-06-2012 03:47 PM

But those few years made all the difference.

And possibly the experiences and general manliness.

But you've lived!

Xavier 10-08-2012 01:36 AM

Go away oanst, you are making me jealous. :)

Seriously though, you guys should have manned up and gone speak to Lorne, he's a very friendly person

I did. :) I don't see why people would have been nervous.... sure he's my idle and probably all of theirs but still, he was there so you might as well meet him. :)

STM 10-08-2012 07:34 AM

That's not the only reason. Another one was that he was being pestered by a multitude of sweaty, stinky nerds. I'm sure that by the time I could have caught him he just wanted to go home.

OANST 10-08-2012 08:02 AM

I doubt that would have been the case. I bet Lorne Lanning never gets tired of talking about Lorne Lanning.

Agreed. He spent a long time, a long long time, talking to some fans.

MeechMunchie 10-08-2012 09:25 AM

I was in the queue. One of the guys had this really bulbous, fleshy nose.

I'm joking, I didn't go :(

I won't point it out on the photo in case it was pupbenny or Sligstorm.

Better luck next time then...
