Oh, I made a thread on their forum titled "The Cave" that was meant for speculation when they first trademarked the name. They were apparently equally amused, and irritated that the game's name was put into their community so long before they intended to announce it, so they flew me to their studio to drink beer with me, and berate me over the "no leaking" rules of the forum.

The only time I saw Ron Gilbert laugh at anything the entire night was when I told a group of them that I half way expected them to have found some post on the forum that they really hated, and that they flew me out to their studio just to humiliate me, and tell me what an asshole I am in front of a large group of people. |

They had a bunch of different brands that I wasn't familiar with, but I only had Scrimshaw because that's what Brad Muir was drinking, and I like totally wanted to be his best friend.
Muir was fucking hilarious. We exchanged business cards, and as soon as he got mine he tried prank calling my work. When no one answered he lost the nerve to leave a nasty message about me. |
