I've wondered about that and thought that it's either something along those lines or just for effect. Once Abe wakes up, though, the lighting is different so I'd say it's not daylight.

STM 02-04-2012 04:03 PM

Well..no, Abe says his life changed 'in just one night'.

DesertBuzzard 02-04-2012 04:08 PM

No, he says it changed in just one day. It's daytime in Paramonia, the sky gets darker near the end of Scrabania and it's night when Abe returns to Rupture Farms.

Nate 02-04-2012 04:09 PM

My guess is that dawn came around the time he was entering the Monsaic Lines, given that it still looks like night time outside, but it's day when he's exploring inside, as well as when he's in Paramonia and Scrabania.

The music that is played when Big Face appears is just amazing.

STM 02-07-2012 09:54 AM

'Tis the same music that plays at the end of the game when you save all the mudokons and get brought to the Sanctum. I listen to this song at least once a week on my Oddworld playlist to help me fall asleep XD

Bullet Magnet 02-07-2012 06:23 PM

I had always hoped that the soundtrack would feature that music in an extended, even full length version. No such luck.

Slig_Dude_64 02-16-2012 07:10 AM

There's so much mystery in Big Faces past.

Sekto Springs 02-18-2012 12:56 AM

The end credits of the AE movie had a medley of the FMV soundtracks without dialogue. I really wish they had released a proper soundtrack.

STM 02-18-2012 06:59 AM

I thought they did? All the songs were up for download on the old pre-J.A.W site. I have all the Abe's Oddysee songs and 3/4 of Abe's Exoddus as well as 1/5 of Stranger's Wrath.

Sekto Springs 02-18-2012 10:35 AM

That's news to me. The Abe's Oddysee soundtrack was always available, but it still has sound fx (which I never understood). Abe's Exoddus had an unofficial rip by one of the members here, but since he just ripped the flat sound, it still has dialogue over the FMV soundtracks. I don't give a shit about SW or MO.

I'm with Sekto. I never saw any official AE soundtrack.

If you want to download the music again, looksie here.

STM 02-19-2012 04:36 AM

Huh, perhaps my memory is wrong, I wonder how I got my soundtrack though, because I don't think it was from here.

Sekto Springs 02-19-2012 10:19 AM

Share em if you got em, STM.

STM 02-19-2012 10:29 AM

Do you want the Abe's Oddysee files?

Because if that's what you want I'm going to be lazy and direct you to this site: http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...ow_audio.shtml

if you can't download from there let me know and I'll upload the ones I have on my laptop.

Nepsotic 02-19-2012 11:13 PM

Are yours withour FMV dialogue?

STM 02-20-2012 12:18 AM

No, and if you want the Abe's Exoddus sound files...none of those have in game sounds or anything, which is why I thought I got them from the old Oddworld Website. I can upload what I've got but it seems I deleted a few of what I had a short while a go because they were taking up space on my iPod.

Xavier 02-21-2012 07:09 AM

Aren't those Kilie's rips?

Oh uh...looks like it. D=

Sorry guys.

Wil 02-21-2012 10:51 AM

In Abe HD, Big Face turns out to an alien from a galactic government trying to steer Oddworld towards peace and harmony. So they can take over.

Varrok 02-21-2012 11:04 AM

Big Face is... an alien?!

MeechMunchie 02-21-2012 12:53 PM

That's the rumour.

STM 02-21-2012 01:24 PM

I head he's actually Squeek.

MeechMunchie 02-21-2012 01:45 PM

You head it, I'll support you.

STM 02-21-2012 02:03 PM

Did you ever see that article Lorne wrote about it back in '99?
