I'm easy.

Nate will be interested.

hedjeroo 05-17-2011 05:13 AM

I don't know if I want kids, but last time I said that I got death glares from my boyfriend's younger sister.

In a way it'd kinda be nice, and I will be the first to admit that I don't hate kids as much as I say I do. I wouldn't think I'd make a good mother but then, I wouldn't know, I've never been one.

The family name is getting passed on by cousins, so no pressure on that front. Mum sort of wants grandkids, but no pressure on that front either.

Nate 05-17-2011 05:39 AM

I've never understood the pressure to have kids in order to pass on the family name. Admittedly, that's probably because I'm only actually the first generation to be born with my surname, so we dont hold any great importance to it. But even for families that have had their surname for centuries, I honestly don't understand why they value it so highly.

It's Doubtfire, Joseph Doubtfire.

The best reason I can think of to adopt.

But... adopted kids generally take on their parent's names.

Wil 05-17-2011 09:15 AM

If I have a child, I'm going to name it Oddworld Forums.

Dixanadu 05-17-2011 09:48 AM

Some of us may be sterile and not even know it.

OANST 05-17-2011 02:17 PM

You know what has an even deeper effect on a person than the first moment they hold their child in their arms? The moment when they are told that the child can't live with you because I don't love you anymore.

Mr. Bungle 05-17-2011 02:26 PM

Ooooohh...

Mac Sirloin 05-17-2011 04:19 PM

Fuck, now I'm giving serious thought of naming my son Roostre. I LOVE that name. I'd raise him real good.

I'd call my Daughters Auschwitz and Dachau, of course. NEVER FORGET.

Seriously, though...
I'm terrified of children. I would not want to ever hurt my kids or drop my baby or whatever. I do not want to be my dad. That is, my actual Father, who was a physically and verbally abusive tyrant. The thought of turning into a neck stomping, ruthless thug like that makes me dread my inevitable parenthood.

Ridg3 05-17-2011 04:21 PM

If I have a son I'm going to name him Englebert. And if it's a girl I shall name her Butch.

Mr. Bungle 05-17-2011 04:54 PM

I've always liked the name Tyler for boys. For girls, uh.

Asexual names are the worst kind of names.

Mr. Bungle 05-17-2011 06:30 PM

Good thing Tyler's a boys name, then.

EDIT: April. If I had a girl, I'd name her that. Beautiful name, I think.

JennyGenesis 05-18-2011 12:20 AM

I would have been called April if I was a girl (I would have prefered Jenny :p)

Coincidence? Considering I was born in April..........................

STM 05-18-2011 12:48 AM

Err guys...

Moving away from that specific one, I get a kick out of the fact that my brother would have been called his name if he was a boy or a girl, haha my parents didn't give a fuck what he came out as! So when he came out with a chicken's head they were like meh.

just_an_(ODD)alisque 05-18-2011 01:15 AM

I have 2 daughters. They both have typical bulgarian names.
And I want more children.

enchilado 05-18-2011 02:09 AM

How many children did Michael Jackson have?

Dixanadu 05-18-2011 02:43 AM

Fathered or partook in sexual activities with?

I actually know a girl named Peta simply because her dad insisted that his firstborn child would be named after him, regardless of its sex.

CrissCross 05-18-2011 06:12 PM

my mate told me that one of his friends name's (he's a boy) was called jamie and his sister was called jamie. i dont know if it's true but wouldn't that be wierd

Thanks for pointing out my joke! I get it now!

Dixanadu 05-19-2011 04:37 AM

I hope that isn't sarcasm.

I don't respond well to sarcasm.

enchilado 05-19-2011 04:43 AM

No, no, I was being perfectly serious.

Dixanadu 05-19-2011 04:51 AM

You're doing it again.

enchilado 05-19-2011 05:09 AM

Doing what, dear?

Nate 05-19-2011 05:20 AM

That's enough, you two.

sigh. I won't need kids as long as I've got OWF.

Dixanadu 05-19-2011 05:22 AM

He started it ¬_¬

enchilado 05-19-2011 06:25 AM

Dixanadu bit my finger again!

Dixanadu 05-19-2011 06:31 AM

You should've let me on the Xbox, then!

Nate 05-19-2011 07:34 AM

I hope you two like your Warnings. Don't try me; one more spammy post and I'll infract you.

STM 05-19-2011 01:50 PM

Can I spammy? Or will I get infracted

http://cheezdailysquee.files.wordpre...12/awesome.jpg

Just in case. Alesandr Orlov.

Yes.

But because you did write a name, I'll just negrep you.

STM 05-20-2011 02:30 PM

Oh well that's just mean now isn't it. Eh, should've seen that coming while in hyper mode.

Do people still name their children after older family members? I want to name my sons after my uncles for example...if God blesses me with happy healthy children that is. (figure of speech don't bring it over here.)

Dixanadu 05-20-2011 03:27 PM

My dad and I have the same name, people always refer to him simply as 'Tony' though.

Ridg3 05-20-2011 03:34 PM

I always refer to him simply as Tony and I always refer to you as simple.

Dixanadu 05-20-2011 03:41 PM

Your name has 'I'm a taig' written all over it.

Wings of Fire 05-20-2011 04:34 PM

I carry my father and my grandfather's name as my middle name. My children will not.

Mr. Bungle 05-20-2011 04:36 PM

And what would that be?

STM 05-20-2011 04:42 PM

Lenin.

enchilado 05-20-2011 04:52 PM

Lenin? What? His middle name is of.

STM 05-20-2011 04:59 PM

It's Joseph Lenin Doubtfire
