Uh, makes no sense, there's no atmoshpere in space but we see the Sun. BIATCH!

But sersiously, I was joking although they might have pumps and they might remove the oxygen as avian species require more o2 than water related species and slug like species require even less than them.

Yeah, it's possible. They might lower the oxygen to a 0.1% concentration. Then, they would replace that 20.9%, that they just got rid of, with some green-coloured harmless gas.

STM 12-10-2010 07:43 AM

Hell yeah

MA 12-10-2010 07:52 AM

its cucumber fumes.

Because the Sun emits light in all directions, including directly at the Earth. Spotlights only illuminate one spot unless the light is scattered.

It does! That is why we can SEE the sun, because it isn't blocked by other particles that float in the way (it does sometimes, when there are a lot of water particles (clouds) in front of it. If space was full of clouds, you would never see the sun. The sun itself are alot of hot particles, thus you can see that.

How are the Sligs and Glukkons surviving without air, and how are we seeing the green light if there's no atmosphere to scatter it?

Sligs breathe through their masks. Glukkons have a pocket of air trapped within their suits and, in an emergency, can breathe through their nipples.

STM 12-10-2010 04:07 PM

Hmm, if we were to analyse this whole thing, there are a number of inconsistencies that make for hard debate, probably, the developers nver thought about making the glukkons choke however...It is definitely a gas and it causes Abe to physically choke and cough before he died so mustard gas?

ziggy 12-10-2010 04:23 PM

It was concentrated fart gas all along!! Glukkon farts, so they are immune to it while Mudokons will die from it. (Hence the laughing in the last in game scene of AO when the glukkons are laughing at you if you die from the gas there. You are dying from their own farts.)

Squ_ish 12-10-2010 07:23 PM

I have come up with a theory =)

Mullock was named after mollusc so all glukkon are mollusk's and mollusk's have gill's so if they can separate the hydrogen from oxygen maybe they've adapted to take the oxygen out of fart gas

is that possible???

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_mollusks_breathe

Nate 12-10-2010 09:02 PM

That's not how gills work. Gills extract dissolved oxygen from the water.

Has anyone considered that perhaps the Glukkons were not affected by the gas because their platforms were set quite far back from where Abe was? It may be a gas that is immediately toxic in high doses, but ineffective when diluted .

ziggy 12-10-2010 09:13 PM

eh I guess. While that theory could be true, it's uninteresting. I prefer to think they can breathe in their own poison farts. Either that or Mullock is just such a bastard he didn't care if he killed off his goons while he gassed Abe.

erwinraaben55 12-10-2010 11:38 PM

If we are going back to a fart theory, I still think they are extracted from Mudokons.

Glukkons don't work! They only command, laugh and smoke sigars.
Producing farts=work=done by Glukkons=ERROR

And who here knows what a Mudokon fart is made of?
I don't know, but it is strange stuff anyway, cause mixed with Soulstorm brew, you get COUNTDOWN EXPLOSIVE farts! Where on earth do you find that? So for all sakes it could be a chemical in there that is from outer space.

And to look from a Lorne point of view (as he has to come up with idea's) I would take a gas that has the characteristics of chlorine or whatever is mentioned here already, then add the ODD TWIST to it. Thus letting it come from Mudokon Fart Extract Factories isn't such a bad idea at all.

MA 12-11-2010 07:51 AM

its kiwi vapour.

STM 12-11-2010 08:06 AM

You said it was cucumber residue, make your mind up.

Jango 12-11-2010 09:40 AM

Why the hell would cucumber or kiwi kill anyone? They're healthy fruit/veg...

STM 12-11-2010 09:59 AM

TO UZ!

TO UZ!

So you're saying that fruit and vegetables are toxic to mudokons? :)

STM 12-11-2010 11:08 AM

Yes yes I am

Jango 12-11-2010 11:15 AM

Yes yes I am

But it couldn't possibly be used as a toxic gas, because no matter how well you chop up fruit and vegetables, they will never float like a gas, they would just fall.

lismati 12-11-2010 01:16 PM

Mazbe ascorbic acid kills them_

but that can't be true i mean the kiwi is healthy and to say that it could kill a human being when introduced to a high heat source to induce some sort of vapour which could then be inhaled by the aforementioned human would just be preposterous come on this is basic stuff no it wouldn't happen no i won't hear of it no i know my stuff i'm a chemist i'm a chemist.

What? Use punctuation next time aswell please.

MA 12-12-2010 08:50 AM

kiwi's dunked in concrete.

Why would you want to throw kiwi's at me?

I post because this is my thread. But there is no rational reason to why you want to throw some kiwi's at me.

MA 12-12-2010 09:00 AM

that would make an amazing sig.

hang on, we are talking about New Zealanders here, right?

Come to think of it, it would. :)

No, we're talking about possible toxic gases used in AO and AE in the 'ender' levels.

MA 12-12-2010 09:03 AM

fuck that, New Zealanders would make a toxic gas any day.

BURN THEM

BURN THEM

Right. If that's what you believe. Anyone can make toxic gas though; it isn't that difficult. Just electrolyse sodium chloride solution, and toxic chlorine gas will accumulate at the anode.

Nate 12-12-2010 03:59 PM

Urgh... "kiwi's"... superfluous apostrophe pain.

MeechMunchie 12-12-2010 11:38 PM

Burn Kiwis' Kiwis to make a Kiwi's Kiwis burn.

STM 12-13-2010 07:30 AM

If you were to burn the proverbial kiwi, they would cook in their own fat yes? Roast in their own juices what, and then if you threw in some kiwi bird kiwi meat, you would have some variety, squeeze some kiwi juice over that and my what a kiwikiwikiwi dish you'd have. Roasted kiwi on a spit roasted kiwi with lashings of kiwi. Doesn't that just stop your arteries at the thought?

Manco 12-13-2010 09:04 AM

Joke successfully killed.

STM, you're like a worse version of King Midas.

Jango 12-13-2010 10:19 AM

Atleast we've stopped talking about kiwis.

ziggy 12-13-2010 12:50 PM

Yes you are

Ok, cut the spam guys, let's get back on-topic!
