I decided to replay most of my old games. Nothing to do in the summer, and I don't expect to have the FF series finished by the end of it. Hehe.

Just blew the dust offa Obscure, that is one freaky ass game... I only have one controller so playing co-op to relieve the fear is out of the question. Fuck my life.

It's hard to compare the general graphics of 2 gaming consoles when I only own one, but I find it hard to believe once.

Downloading Alien Swarm and Façade. Alien Swarm just so I can get the TF2 hat and Façade because it looks interesting.

Except that we aren't talking about aesthetic style. We're talking about level of detail possible. And I do own both systems, so it's quite easy to compare.

I like them both. I just get tired of listening to PS3 fan's stupidity when they talk about the 360. Especially since they are always completely wrong.

Im playing Torchlight lately... A clone of Diablo, supposedly made by the original Diablo-creators. I haven't verified this. But the game is fun and diablo-ish. Kinda addicting too.

Sorry for sounding like a PS3 fanboy, okay we cool? Jeez :P besides Killzone 2 is the best looking PS3 game...

THAT BEING SAID... I'm really starting to enjoy the 360 I picked up Kameo and Gears of War, Kameo is amazing it really is, it's one of those rare games that you hope is really long.

Kameo lasted me around 15 hours I think, great game.

As far as 360 graphics goes, Rare and EPic seem to be the only two that try to raise the bar with every release, even though Epic uses an engine built for multiple platforms and Rare is stuck making avatar games. I heard Alan Wake looks awesome though, and Reach might raise the bar. Despite this, U2 is the only game on PS3 that looks above any game on 360 currently.

Back to games, been playing some Gears 2(20x XP tomorrow) and Alien Swarm.

LIMBO.

It's pretty damned great. I am limiting my play time during the day so we can play at night and get creeped the fuck out.

Picked up Mad World and Metroid Prime 3 last week. Both are good, but (and this is coming from someone who is a HUGE fan of the first two Metroid Primes) MP3 doesn't feel like a Metroid/Prime game. The hand holding is frustrating, boring and tedious. Everything seems to take too much to kill and the motion controls are mysteriously buggy and aiming is a pain in the ass with difficult to kill shit leaping around while the little reticule fucks all over the place.

Mad World on the other hand, is original and fun and funny and bloody and all kinds of shit. The music is great and killing the seemingly endless stockpile of enemies remains fun throughout. The design of the Big Old Driller and Big Bull Crocker enemies are fucking awesome.

I'd prefer if you named something.

Been playing Alien Swarm on Steam. I can actually play it because it's top-down and you don't have to aim so much as rotate. So that means everyone's much nicer then on L4D.

Killzone II looks better than any 360 game I can think of. Hell, MadWorld arguably looks better than plenty of big-name-ass 360 games.

I didn't think that Killzone 2 looked that impressive, to be honest. If it does, well, that's two.

At any rate, Limbo is the fucking shit. Holy shit is Limbo the fucking shit. Every time I die I jump like two feet in the air and then just sit there laughing at the clever shit that just killed me.

Killzone 2 is meh.

In HeartGold I bred my Ditto with my Eevee and got an egg. That was five minutes ago and I got a call from the Daycare Man saying that I have another Eevee egg. Babies everywhere!

I'm not saying Killzone 2 itself was good, but the quality and detail of the graphics is top notch. It's not so much that it looks pretty so much that it looks good.

Anyway, enough with this inane talk of Killzones. Everybody knows that Earthworm Jim 2 is the greatest feat of mankind, surpassing even the lightbulb.

In the middle of Persona 3 Portable and warming myself back up with Blazblue to prepare for the sequel next week.

Killzone 2 has the best lighting and explosion effects ever, however Resistance 2 is my favorite PS3 FPS I love the: 50's setting, creepy Borg like aliens, and the Ratchet and Clank type weapons. If Resistance were just a little less arcade like and more tactical like Gears or Killzone it would be my favorite FPS ever.

EWJ 2 is my fav too, except for that level where you were on your rocket and had to push that fat guy across the map, that level was the source of so much frustration as a kid >_>

Playing Arcanum: Of Steamworks And Magick Obscura. It's brilliant. You'd think there'd be a lot more steampunk RPGs. It plays like a cross between Diablo and Baldur's Gate, and the fantasy-world-meets-industrial-revolution theme works perfectly.

The interface is a bit clunky, but I'm prepared to put up with that to play as a Victorian businessman with a finely waxed moustache, raised by snake handlers and a training Professor in Explosives, Electrics and Chemistry. I shoot people with a custom flintlock pistol and lob Molotov Cocktails I made out of half-bottles of wine from the trash and some old petrol.

And it spells 'Magick' with a 'K', for Christ's sake.

So what you mean is that the detail and quality of the game is good, it's just that the designs and aesthetic suck balls.

GoW1> GoW2

GoW2 = Fail

GoW3 = Most likely gonna be GoW2 faster paced

GoW2 faster paced = FAIL

GoW3 Should be GoW1 with better graphics better match making and new maps.

Same here, but I am sure I only enjoyed the first Gears because I played it Co-Op. Same thing with Halo. I only play Halo Co-Op with my cousin.

I have a hard time getting into those type of games when I'm by myself.

Medal of Honor Beta. Its bad. Like, anal bleeding bad. You can tell it tries to be CoD4, but developed by Dice, it has elements of Battlefield. The result is a bastard child carrying only the most unappealing qualities from its parents. If you want to play Battlefield, play Battlefield. If you want to play CoD, play CoD. Do not play Medal of Honor though, even if you want to play Medal of Honor.

Alien Swarm becomes really fun when you're the only one on the team with a welder. Good times.

I just bought Rayman off of the PSN. Fuck, I've been missing out...

I also have $20 left in my PSN "wallet", as I purchased a $30 gift card. I'm planning on buying MGS and CB3:Warped, but I'm unsure about the second.

CB3 is one of my favourite platformers ever, although it may have dated.

I beat Limbo and am now scouring the place for all of the little bubbles.

I'm fond of the other CB games I own in that they're relatively simple to finish, but time trials/bonus gems/bonus levels provide nice challenges. I'll probably buy MGS first, though, as I've wanted to play it since the flashback at the start of chapter 4 in MGS4.

I've been playing a lot of Diablo II lately, along with World of Warcraft, and soon, Starcraft II. I'm a huge Blizzard fan, in case you haven't noticed. :P

I was also playing Abes Exoddus not too long ago, until the computer decided to crash right after I beat the Paramite Temple (can't be bothered to remember the name...Mudanchee Vault?). I haven't felt like playing it again since. :/

I bought Metal Gear Solid off of the PSN. It's great.
