Going to Uni is the only time i will ever consider getting facebook.

my mates are drunks and about double my age, my mates here are around my age and study quantum physics.

i have an equally good laugh with both groups.

I use the term "real life" freely. The social mechanics of 'online' and 'offline' friends are suitably different, even when the online and offline realms overlap, via Facebook or OddTours. Derisive it may seem, I'm not going to replace it with the term "offline".
