I'm working in the legs, and I'm making those muscles. http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/1...ocumentan7.jpg |
Woo! :3 Looks amazing! <3
|
How many years of training did you go through for modeling?
|
Awesome Scrab Tidus! Keep it up! :D
|
Thank you.. All of you, I apreciate it. With you I have a reason to do this. If I haven't got any people looking at my model, why doing it?
Thanks! Well, I have two years in this universe, exactly two years in 3D Max. I almost have one year on Zbrush, I think. But in this, the 3D universe, about two years. |
Wow, this is truely a work of art. Could you like upload it someday, so people can get an all around view? No Preasure.
|
Great Scrab! The muscles look good so far.

If you want to see more images or videos, say it.. |
If I was you I wouldn't upload the finished model unless you get it properly copyrighted or something, otherwise it's just a matter of time before you find it's been stolen. Call me paranoid, but it's always best to be cautious.
|
Psshhhh...what do you mean the muscles are no good?! I think you're Scrab is coming along wonderfully, and as I imagine that this is a process of layer upon layer upon layer, I think you have a really nice base.
Can't wait to see what's next.:D |
Checked back to see how you were coming along and it's still damned amazing. Keep it up.
|
Thanks for the comments. In this night I have do some work on the legs. Now I see it with more details I see the legs have to be more heavy.
http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/6899/scrabva6.jpg By the way, I'm working on the claws =) |
great work, doing 3D models of them are hard, ive had some trouble doing them in Cinema 4D, anyway
keep up the great work, cant wait to see it finished |
Hey great Tidus! and you're right with the leg thing, but other than that everything is improved well as I see :D
btw: where are it's teeth I know it had some teeth in the past... :fuzconf: |
Great work! The legs are looking good.
|
Thanks! Well, the teeth, ohh, well, yeah, they're in my computer, but I dont know where..
lol I don't have time to do more in this by the moment, and the model is going more difficult.. |
 lol
funneh that ya lost tha teeth, good luck with finding them again :p And yay for you having more time for the Scrab now ^^ EDIT: oops I missed the letters n't after the 'do' , so may you have more time for it in the future then xD |
Hmm, teeth can be such a nusience when they are on the run, hope ya catch them =P
Groovilivious workieness, eh! |
Can you say me wrong things about the legs? Thanks.
|
I think the legs look pretty good.
But the whole thing is awesome! |
:
yeah, the legs do look pretty good :) , but I think the wrinkle (?) under the kneecap is a bit too outstanding :p |
I agree with scipionyx. Also, now I think about it, the legs seem a bit small.
|
:
:
Thanks :p |
Wow! you are getting VERY good mate!
|
Thanks Buzzy!!
I have edited the legs, I made them larger, and I put a skin effect to the wrinkles. I think it looks more accurate with larger legs. http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/689/scrabqm0.jpg http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/2462/scrab2si1.jpg |

It's true that is easy to do something in Zbrush, don't listen to people who says it's the most difficult thing to learn, or something like that. The same for 3D Max. I didn't know how to make a canion, and after reading very long tutorials, I learnt and understood the program, but I wasn't been able to do anything. Then I read the most useful tutorial I've ever read, and I made my first model. I readed advanced tutorials about 3D Max and Zbrush, and here I am. If you want to know something, I didn't buy a 3D Max book, most of the people say it's necessary to buy one, but I learnt the program without paying 50 bucks for a book that helps you at the beggining. One tip that helped me was that the easiest way to do models is by Box Extrude in Edit Poly mode, and then adding a turbosmooth to it. When you put a model from 3D Max to Zbrush, don't start sculpting veins, or the wrinkles in the legs. Start by redefining the shape, the muscles, then, when you're in a subdivision level and you can't do anything more on it, go to a higher level, and sculpt more things. You must go from the higher things to the smaller things. That was a mistake I made with the Paramite. Thank you all! I have edited the legs (muscles) and there's a close up, and well I didn't edit the mouth but I wanted to share a close up: http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/3598/sinttulo1ys1.jpg |
Wow. The legs look much better now, and good work on the skin effects.
|
Wow! Getting better everyday! Good work!
|
Thank you, wow, this post is coming too long. Is it boring for you? If it's boring I'll post the finished screens when they're done instead of posting wip images :)
I remember I had a diffuse layer, I have edited the mouth, I have made that veins (sorry for pixelation) and I have made some details in the torso. I'll made the back tomorrow if I have time. Now I'm seeing it, I must check some colors on the diffuse. http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/6...ocumentwr2.jpg |
no it's more interrresting to see how it evolves than just waiting eons for it and then commenting quickly and forgetting about it in a second again...
I like how you made the details especially the ribs and those things on the sides of it's head and the legs :D |
Yeah I like the ribs too! =D I'm waiting for it to just start dancing!
The color looks really nice aswell. Keep it up! Looks really cool. :D |
Nice ^^ Thanks :D So I'm going to share you images of my project.. I think it's going good. I have made some upgrades on the mouth, as you can see, and I have made the back, but I think the details there are too outstanding.
http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/4250/scrabxt8.jpg I think I'm near to the finish, and I'm planning to put it on Crysis and take some photos, to see how the diffuse and normal are going. |
Wow! AMAZING! I just got blender, oh JEEZ! It is hard, could you pm me some things on 3d modeling, and how to?? Thanks tidus! Looking AMAZING
|
This is looking better and better. I like how you did the muscle structure on the back.
|
 Noooooooooooo the details aren't too outstanding it's very good that way,
I just luv how you made the muscles and the spine GREAT WOOOOOORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
THANKS!!! Thank you!! I'm glad you like it!!!! :);):);):);)
