Yay Lorne Lives! Everyone hail our Savior of video games. I hope that the Abe movie sorta gives an easter egg hint to CS, cause thats always fun. Or does something like breaking the Fourth wall, like saying "This is not a game" and the characters look at the screen towards the person playing the game.

Also I didnt have a chance to buy AE when i was like 8 or 9 years old when it was released and I don't know if at the end of the game there was a hint to MO, and I hope they do a cliffhanger like that for the Abe movie, like abe is dreaming and wakes up from a nightmare of seeing the gabbit race being wiped out and then farts and falls back to sleep lol.

Why not? Most movies have cliffhangers these days, if not small ones, to lead up to a sequal of course.
However, I prefer movies without this, as it makes them seem more complete, but the AE ending was handled quite well, well, as far as I've seen, since I haven't actually played the game yet.

I agree with Mudling there, I remember completing AE after saving all 300 and when abe still said "But we knew there had to be more of us out there" it really ticked me off!

Im hoping for just 1 Oddworld film I don't wanna raise my hopes too high.......

I reckon character development is as important as the plot. Even if it is a possible adaptation of AO they should stick a cameo of the best 3 glukkon's in all of Mudos!, General Dripik, V.P ASlik and Director Phleg!

Character development is one of the most important things...Abe may need to be done a bit more indepth, as off course this is for a full length movie, not just a few game cutscenes by comparison.

Last thing I heard was that five Oddworld Movies were planned.

I heard there was a game planned called "Hand of Odd" but......:fuzsad:

All im saying is that sometimes plans can go astray, and the higher my hopes are, the more ill be let down if something bad does happen...

Hand of Odd was cut because of time and money restraints etc., however, five movies was, and still is, the original plan, is far more important and a necessity than the single game. Who knows, hand of odd may only be on hiatus, though this is doubtful. it certainly seems that it would sell far better when one or two of the Oddworld movies finally come out, and raise awareness to the public.

I hope Hand of Odd returns, in the oddworldlibrary archive I saw the movie of this game and I liked it! It looks like Munch's Oddysee for PS2. In the movie there is a open-air marke, the Mongo river and Mudokons who are fishing in the river and then a Slig march. It is a very good movie (without sound).

I so hope you are right...but I doubt it will make much difference to me, you know why?

This is what I think will happen to me and proberly others, we will be waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and after waiting somemore, we will find something that will be more intresting then waitng, then we will completely forget about any oddworld films and life will go on entirely normal...

Hmm...Hand Of Odd was planned as part 5 of the Quintology, right? But if they're making the Quint into a series of movies, what kinda movie would that be? Maybe they'll change it to a different game?

I thought rather than 5, the movies could be made into 1, or at the most a trilogy, I mean, 5 is alot.
I reckon Abe and Munchs tales could be combined, although a lot of changes would have to be made, as for the rest of the stories, I cannot say for I am not even sure they exist yet.
Is it made clear that each game of the quintoligy will feature a different character? (and all native?)
because if so, then a quintoligy seems the best way to show each character's story.

Im very curious about the moons, im talking about the big moon with Abe's paw inprinted in it and the other with Munch's foot. Assuming that the 5 films are going to focus on Abe's/Munch's and the other 3 characters involed in the quintoligy's oddysee, then one would also assume that those 3 unnamed character's will also have moons? Right?

I wonder what they mean? I know that Stanger is not part of the quintoligy which is why im guessing thats why he doesn't get a moon...............poor Stranger.......

When all 5 Oddysee's are complete and by that I mean all 5 protaginists have completed their own goals. I think there should be 1 last game/movie with all the characters working together to................I dunno, save Oddworld from blowing up or something...

I don't really think it'd be a good idea bunching together the Quintology into one movie. They'd have to make it either extra long, or extra rubbish. And I doubt they'd do either. At least three, if not more, movies would be preferable.

OWI won't put in a film all the games of Oddworld Quintology, the film that they are making is Citizen Siege.

Yes, but after Citizen Siege they're planning on making movies of Lorne's Oddworld stories. After all, the Quintology was originally planned as a set of films, not games.

So they are making ones of oddworld abe's oddysee/exoddus!

Yeah, I had a dream about seeing the oddworld movie once. I saw the trailer, and then for some reason castlevania was in there, and the air was purple, and the seats were painted stones, and all these weird lookin' plants were everywhere. I thought I saw a fan dressed as a paramite hanging from the ceiling. Stranger jumped off a cliff. I still don't know if he survived though... And for another strange reason, abe died in a war with the teddiez, and a sea rex was there...

That paragraph made no sense to me whatsoever. But you can bet I'd be screaming like a fangirlie if I saw an oddworld (abe) movie trailer, or anything on tv with the OWI logo in it.

It will be a movie like the others. I don't know if Abe will be in it.

Finally some info! These pictures are brilliant. This is the oddworld i know and love and the colour and everything is perfect. I like the fact that they have cages showing that thier bieng treated like prisoners etc. I can't wait for this film!

Yeah, the Cell Cond Silo is brilliant. Looking at these images I rember to the old production arts of AE in the TOGG archive, where there is one of these images drawn with old style. I can't believe OWI don't add these movie in AE at begin.
