The Pirate, you have surpassed Rupture farms as hte best noob here, god bless you.

the pirate 10-14-2007 06:29 AM

Why, did you say that? Im not a noob, im a newb

Mac Sirloin 10-14-2007 07:16 AM

What the hell is your problem? I complimented you, you ass.

Way t edit it, dicknuts.

Mojo 10-14-2007 07:56 AM

Perhaps the choosing of the word noob was wrong. I at first thought it was a sneer as well. But then I remembered RF to truly be a good poster.

Kastere, it's highly probable the pirate didn't know about you liking RF. Therefor, his reaction is quite understandable, since noob is a generally negative word.

the pirate, he WAS complimenting you. I expect an apology. On a different note, please refrain from double posting, use the "Edit" button instead. And no foul language.

the pirate 10-14-2007 08:31 AM

ok, but i really didnt know that he was complimenting me, and i took it the wrong way. Im not on this site most of my time, im on another site, and there we use the term "Noob" as someone who is Trolling the forums. Sorry

Laser 10-14-2007 10:55 AM

what an interesting definition of a n00b on that forum.

anyway i have to say that bioshock is probally going to be one of the best games i have ever played (until crysis)

Mac Sirloin 10-14-2007 10:57 AM

A Troll is someone who is Trolling, a shocking revelation, I am sure.

Oh, and FYI, I don't appreciate being called a 'nigga' in PM's.

Partially because I am clearly caucasian, then there's the fact that it's a offensive and demeaning term.

Well, depending on your gang, at least.

Mojo 10-15-2007 11:33 AM

Fo' sho', nigga!

Mac Sirloin 10-16-2007 12:55 PM

Yeah, but you're joking, he was being a jew.

mudling 10-17-2007 02:12 AM

Umm, jew is also an offensing a demeaning term, applied to non Jews of course, or what I mean to say it is used in an offensive and demeaning way.
Sorry If I offended any Jews in any way.
Anyway, got right to the last level, holy crap I feel sorry for the splicers, and the characters are sooo deep, expecially Ryan (Wow) and Cohen (*Minor spoiler* Couldn't bring myself to kill him, might do so on the harvesting way through), expecially the "I want to take the ears off the rabbit, but I can't!" and actually everything he says.
I mean, even the australian and mcoen or whoever, the english guy who *Spoiler* gets killed and hung up as a trophey. Wow, wow, sure this game is like alot of FPS in some ways, except it is not only one of the best FPS ever made, it is very much art, and very deep, it actually has a story, and a great one.
Haven't finnished yet, can pretty much guess the end though.
But every character, even the minions from the religeous guys (Jesus loves me, this I know, becuase the bible tells me so), the woman speaking to her baby (Which is *spoiler* apprently a gun), the little sisters and big daddies (Please get up Mr B.), to the dancers who dance to Cohan's music.
This game has nailed it, and even though has a few issues in controls and such, for a FPS, it realy has set standards.
I must say, Ryan and Cohen and together with Molluck and possibly Seckto my favourite game characters of all time.
And the water and the ocean, wow, just wow, the design, it's amazing, setting in the 60's was a realy good choice, and the game is realy fun. I mean, how many games do you drop your gun and start taking shots from your cammera instead, Bioshock is truely an imaninative and supurb game, quite possibly, one of the best of all time, that I have played anyway.
I'm not a fan at all of FPS, sure, I play Halo 2 some times (my bro has it), and it is fun, but Bioshock had nailed it, and to think I wasn't too keen on getting it, and ditched playing it at one stage.
One thing I can't understand is the achievements thing, does it actually do anything, or is it just for self gratification, and how do you see it?

Ok, I'm going to stop going on about Bioshock, in this forum at least, lol.

Mac Sirloin 10-17-2007 04:08 AM

Mudling, please, don't, it was a joke.

I am saddened you didn't catch on.

Hobo 10-17-2007 08:47 AM

Yeah, the stupid Jew.

mudling 10-18-2007 12:43 AM

I was joking actually Kastere, or trying to prove people wrong when I'm 5-10 years younger and dumber than them enlightens me. ;)
Why does everyone take me so seriously?
and lol @ Hobo.

Mac Sirloin 10-20-2007 10:59 PM

Sorry, Mudling, but when you write REALLY long posts one assumes it's serious business.

Havoc 10-21-2007 03:30 AM

Can we like... get back on topic? Stupid bunch of Jews...

SeaRex 10-21-2007 09:48 AM

On topic: BioShock was an exceedingly good game with a horrible last boss/ending.

Quoted for Truth

Mac Sirloin 10-21-2007 03:57 PM

It could've been worse.
You good have been fighting a 60's era SHODAN.
Then again, a computer of that power back then would have been roughly the size of Africa.

mudling 10-22-2007 01:43 AM

Yeah I know, I get carried away.
Sorry for being Jew.
Oh, and if Nate saw this, he would be rolling in his grave, which I am preparing for him, jokes!
Seriously though, I wouldn't bring the Jewish thing to the religeon thread.
And yeah, finnished the game, got the good ending, and
*Spoilers*
The ending was alright I suppose, if a bit short and cliched, the jump to real film was odd, yet it was nice, I thought he was going to stay there, and never escapre, and the city would be destroyed with him in it, until recently.
Personally I may of prefered that.
I mean, imagine a collasping city, Jack is Trying to rwch the lift, reach the surface, there is a tilt, the little sisters hold out their hands, and you try and grab it, but can't reach, you can't leave, Rapture is your city, and then it explodes and the lift/ submerine glides towards the surface.
Something like that would of been nice, owell.
The boss battle was annoying yet easy, trying to climb the stairs was realy annoying, it was unnorriginal aswell, owell.
I like the little sisters nailing him though, priceless, getting nailed by a bunch of little girls, that everyone deemed harmless.

I hated the jump to a prerendered cinematic. The friggin' in-game real time graphics looked better than the ending cinematic, which should NEVER HAPPEN. Also, they should have rolled credits after the ending.

Say what you want about credits; they give you time to reflect on your experience, usually with cool music in the background. Jumping right back to the title screen feels way too cheap and abrupt.

Also, WTF last boss. It's like they ran out of time and went "Let's just stick some random Zelda-style boss in here and hope nobody notices." And they very well may have ran out of time. That's what I'm guessing.

Everything else about the game-- loved it. Most Oddworldian game I've played since AE, maybe even more so than SW.

Havoc 10-22-2007 02:55 PM

SPOILERS!!!

What really bummed me out was that Ryan was a mere middle man in the story and that, instead of facing Ryan at the very end you get to deal with some evil evil mobster. An overly cliché bad guy which should never be found in any game. Some sort of political standoff with Ryan, no matter how, would have been a lot more interesting to see then killing off some idiot on steroids.

I didn't want to have a face off with Ryan, to be perfectly honest. Once I figured out that Fontaine was behind most of Rapture's troubles, I kinda felt bad for Ryan. I felt guilty that I pegged as some megalomaniacal villain at the beginning, when really he was just an... err... megalomaniacal idealist.

The whole mobster thing was a bit cliché, but I liked it. It fit. The real problem I had was how trite the boss fight was.

GTdragon 10-26-2007 05:16 PM

And then dick cheney stole mah fetus...

I second that. I was quite dissappointed.

AlienMagi 11-01-2007 05:24 AM

Sorry but I think this game stinks!

Havoc 11-01-2007 05:26 AM

Then you have no taste in games :D

Truly.:p *HERE BE SPOILERS*

I found Bioshock incredible. When I reflected on the game, I already missed it ten minutes after finishing the game. Every single character was well developed. I especially developed a deep hatred against Suchoung, more then anyone else, with Fontaine close behind him. The puppy thing still gives me nightmares. ;)

I found the 'good' ending decent. Could be better, but still good-ish. I thought Fontaine was a good character, but the final boss thing seemed pathetic and easy. I just blasted him with missles/plasmids until he ceased to live.

Laser 11-10-2007 08:51 AM

Alien Magi may you please explain why it stinks?

Mac Sirloin 11-10-2007 12:08 PM

Don't bother, he hasn't actually played it.

And 0.7 mm Lead? you are now the best new member.
