ok it's back, hopefully that's a good thing
I decided to bring my first oddworld sketches thread back from the dead.
I really like some of the old oddworld stuff i drew. I just didn't post much on it, because I didn't have time. This is a new one inspired by some of the concepts from the art of oddworld book. And I'm sorry..lol..but I'm just really proud of the second pic, so I had to post it again. |

thank you guys for all the compliments! and uh..scrabs don't have eyes yup. Maybe to you it looks my drawing of a scrab has eyes but I didn't draw any.

I draw probably about 2 pics a week, but I do random doodles a lot, and throw them away or sometimes keep them. You should see my room, theres fricking paper everywhere. I like drawing a lot, but I don't draw constantly. Like I draw because its fun, I don't do it like a task to get better. I have other interests.

I think I have almost mastered drawing Abe! He is a fun character to draw, because he seems simple but has all these wierd little details about him. It's from a scene in Exoddus.

I draw every frickin' day, but nothing, I shall never draw like the real master... Keep up the good work! I think you draw better than any creature on earth, I don't know about space though... (maybe aliens are picassos, you never know!) And btw, you really make the characters look like them. (Elum,scrab,glukkons,etc) |
That picture of Abe from Exoddus looks really cool, If only I could draw like that but that really inspired me too start drawing...maybe I should open an art thread...well good sketch anyway! :)

Seeing these makes me want to bust out the pacer and draw some Oddworld fanart.
I've always had trouble drawing Mudokuns. It's something about their mouth being the same distance out from their faces as their eyes. There's that inward part in between the eyes and the mouth that I just can't seem to get right. You are an amazing drawer. You seem to be able to get everything in the right places, but I've noticed in some cases that your scales/proportions are a little off (Stranger, for example). Other than that, every single one of your drawings are superb. I'd say that I'm an average drawer. None of my family from previous generations have any artistic talent. The only people in my family that seem to have any amount of talent is my cousing and myself, and we are both very different people. He draws the inside of cars, I draw crazy animals with many tentacles and even more eyes. Keep up the good work. Perhaps you could expect some art from me in the near future. Who knows? |

Thank you all (well MagogCartel and Enchilado.) I may find the inspiration again to make something that will interest me, and hopefully be compelling enough for you all to see. The whole idea of fan art got really boring for me and I got pretty busy for the past...2 years that I just couldn't really find the time to draw anything for this dead thread. Posting pictures here on a weekly basis is just harder now unless I'm on a break or something.

Yes I've gotten a bit better. It's not a buzz word, nah. Kaputt and Gazundheit are the only buzz words I know. I just said that to be cool. I'm American.
