Have you ever seen a termite queen? She looks nothing like her daughters.

And Jo'Momma comes off more like a bitchy grandmother to me.

For me she just seems an outlaw, not an outlaw queen nor an outlaw mother.

Bullet Magnet 04-12-2006 06:24 AM

I would like to say again that I'd like to play an Oddworld MMORPG. That way we could make our own characters and play out our fanfics and RPGs

pongyboy 04-12-2006 10:31 AM

I think that kind of game would be good on the internet, but not as a single player. The problem with that is you could never really fulfill your own RPG's or fan fiction

Marco the Glukkon 04-13-2006 05:45 AM

I would like to see Abe and Munch meet Stranger and some other character because that other character is the only way they can advance further to saving Oddworld. I think it would be neat to see how the characters react to each other. Then, the player could choose what character they want to play for each level just by pressing a button.(Kind of like the scheme of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Battle Nexus....yes I know I've played it. I regret nothing lol)

it would be kinda cool seeing how all the characters react to each other but i think that mabey a game about all of them wouldn't be that great

sligco 04-13-2006 10:07 AM

:

I waould like to see Abe's "universe" combined with Stranger's "universe". More than just two old creatures (Fuzzle and Vykker) but sligs meeting Clakkerz etc. That's what I put in my fan fic

ya in an rp i did somthing like that and the slig started shooting them

on topic id like to see either stranger a new character or a game based on a glukkon

Cawzarrami 04-13-2006 10:50 AM

When is the next game called and when's it coming out or will that me announced at E3?

pongyboy 04-13-2006 01:28 PM

I don't know, I'm not sure anyone knows? Someone might

Wil 04-13-2006 03:47 PM

Technically they can't really be her sons considering she's a horn-head outlaw while they're hump-backed outlaws, right?

No, all the Outlaws in the game are the same species. There's just a tremendous amount of variation within the species, even within the same family, as in the case of Jo' Mamma and her children.

Even Caste Raider and Fatty McBoomBoom are Outlaws, despite looking like Wolvarks to me. I heard a neat theory on Wikipedia of all places, that their appearance is a result of inter-breeding between Outlaws and Wolvarks.

Oddworld Inhabitants are currently working on an Oddworld film. The nature, release date and existence of any future games is quite dependent on the release and success of that film.

That seems amazingly lazy on OWI's part.

Then again, who's to say that if Raider and McBoomBoom were the result of cross-breeding, that the others weren't as well? Because I refuse to believe that the Bootys particular 'variation' of outlaw has any relation to your standard hump-back minion. I just cannot except that as even being probable.

Xavier 04-14-2006 02:14 AM

yeah I agree with the cross breeding between speicies theory...

and simply call outlaw everything that isn't a pure race... much nicer the call them bastards

Wil 04-14-2006 07:18 AM

It's not laziness. They envisioned a single Outlaw race and then made the effort to create much more variation within the species than they've done with any race before.

Glukinator 04-15-2006 06:43 AM

I think their should be more wildlife, or Meeches that are still alive.

Glukinator 04-15-2006 10:26 AM

They should also bring Elum back. I like Elum.

Sekto Springs 04-15-2006 10:27 AM

Stop double posting. The 'edit' button is there for a reason.

looney-bin 04-15-2006 01:49 PM

I'd really like to see Abe and Munch again, but I'd also like to see another character. I wouldn't like to see Stranger again for a while, but grubbs would be a nice treat. :D

pongyboy 04-15-2006 02:13 PM

I liked grubs too, i liked there city Last Legs, that was fun, I should have put them in the poll.
Would anyone like to see them in the next game

Yeah, it'd be good to have Elum back, his time in the Quintology was too brief. But what was that movie/set of pics with a herd of Elum being ridden by Mudokons through a forest? Was it planned that in MO/ME we'd see Elum riders?

Sekto Springs 04-16-2006 11:16 AM

I think that streaming video with the Elum riders was a promo for Hand of Odd, not MO/ME.

Munch's Master 04-16-2006 11:17 AM

Ah, thanks for that. I didn't know which it was from, since I first found it in with some MO preview vids and some Hand of Odd vids.

The Marching Mudokon 04-16-2006 06:19 PM

Is Hand of Odd still in OWI's thoughts or have they abandoned it? I remember hearing about it a couple of years ago and was really excited about it. But since then nothings really come from it. Oh well, at least there's two pages of it in the art book.

pongyboy 04-17-2006 03:14 AM

I think the Hand of Odd would have been great, but i don't know if OWI is going to make it. But I hope the do.

Bullet Magnet 04-17-2006 04:13 AM

There were elums in MO. the last level, on the Vykkerz' tables. Headless and skinned, but unmistakably elums. I would like to see them back, perhaps with some variation on mudarchers and tomahawkers riding them.

And, on outlaws, I can accept the varying hunchbacked outlaws to be of the sam species, but no way are the yellow headed and big "hammerjaw" outlaws to be the same. No way.

Glukinator 04-17-2006 07:48 AM

[QUOTE=Bullet Magnet]There were elums in MO. the last level, on the Vykkerz' tables. Headless and skinned, but unmistakably elums.

That made me verry sad. Elums are one of my favorite species:(

Abe and the other mudokons are sexless? Why are they wearing loincloths? :crafty: What are they hiding?

They may be sexless, but where do you think they dispose of waste? That is the exact reason they wear loincloths... To hide their, ummmm, cloaca.

Glukinator 04-17-2006 06:11 PM

To much information!

Bullet Magnet 04-18-2006 03:08 AM

There are AE characters that we never saw again, and they were cool! Flying and crawling sligs, fleeches, slurgs, Greeters... I want to see them again. And the blind mudokons, they seemed to just disappear, and I don't think that just removing the eyelid stitches is enough for them to see again.

I also want elums back.

I also want elums back. Why were there no elums in SW? It was a western style game wasn't it? And what are elums if not Oddworld's horses? Did anyone else notice this?

Glukinator 04-18-2006 06:07 AM

I agree with bullet magnet, the AE characters are Great! I was hoping to see them again in MO. Expecialy flying sligs. I don't understand why OWI just took them away. They were such awesome guys!

Wil 04-18-2006 10:30 AM

Limitations of the characters as an enemy in a 3D environment, I guess.

:

There probably just wasn't a need or desire for one in the game. Stranger certainly didn't need one. Outlaws on horseback would have been neat, though. I'd be surprised if that idea didn't crop up in someone's mind, so it was likely rejected for a reason.

Xavier 04-18-2006 10:49 AM

maybe because Lorne didn't want a "noble" beast such as the Elum to be ridden on by another creature then a Mudokon

The Elum was more of a cute character, I think they should have had a more vicious character if outlaws would have rode horse, an Elum would be too friendly

Don't you think?

I agree. You can't have a bad guy ridding a good guy can ya?

OANST 04-19-2006 07:07 AM

That would be rape.

Wil 04-19-2006 11:00 AM

Funnily enough, that's probably OANST's most relevent post in GD for a while. Outlaws on Elum-back could have had the reverse effect, highlighting how mean the Outlaws are.

pongyboy 04-19-2006 11:07 AM

:

It would be annoying if the Elum made a comeback on the enemies side.

Xavier 04-19-2006 11:23 AM

I know OWI started to design some other creatures that could be ride on for the industrial side

it looked like huge spiders

pongyboy 04-19-2006 11:36 AM

I think i saw those in TOGG, or it could of been something else

Really? I could imagen actually.

The only ones I know that could be a riding creature for the industrials would be the Kinto slaves. Mugs on the other hand, I don't think their designed for riding, but the Meetles are.
