big bro slig #1 04-15-2005 05:16 PM

Yeah the gap thing happend to me i thought it was the only way!

scrabinator 04-27-2005 06:36 AM

Inside the Wolvark docks there is a Wolvark sitting on the toilet moaning about how he shouldn't have eaten that fuzzle pie. The fuzzle pie is also mentioned in various parts of the game like in the Gizzard Gulch Jail.

And I don't think that this is realy an easter egg but, it's actually possible to capture Blisterz Booty dead! Right at the baginning of the game when Blisterz is lying on the ground unconcious, go into first person mode and start punching him. He will eventually die and you can bounty him dead. (sorry if this is common knowledge but I just haven't heard anyone talk about it yet) ;)

stingbee 04-27-2005 09:42 AM

I dunno if ya already noticed this or what

when you have visited the black market when you come out the clackerz seem to talk about it alot

Abe16 05-12-2005 08:31 PM

In the starting of MO, that fly thing buzzing toward you sorta looks like a thudslug from SW. Just pointing it out.

And finally when you're in the dam near the end of the game if you look at the red curtain things hanging down they seem to have the Magog Cartel logo on them, suggesting that Sekto is part of the Magog Cartel.

I'm pretty sure that is just the Secto springs logo, which is similar to the Magog logo because Glukkons and Octigi are related species.

:

Oh, and scrabinator, yes, those are the birds on page 226.

I haven't seen them yet but I don't think those are the birds from the book because I specifically asked Alf if we would be seeing them soon (because I think their cool) and he said no.

Plus, the Magog Cartel insignia can be found on the flags hanging from the ceiling in the last couple levels.

They look exactly the same. Beaks, shapes, markings, are all the same, so I'm pretty sure it's them.

:

In the CG movies whenever a piece of paper is placed on a desk (like the Blisterz Booty wanted poster, Strangers operation papers, and the steef head poster) a fly always seems to buzz across the screen - I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean or represent though.

That's quite interesting, I wonder if it has anything to do with the backwards messages with the flies buzzing...

In addition to the underpants with "Josh" written on them, there is also a still that says "Josh". It's in the cave between Buzzarton and New Yolk City. When you approach, there are a few outlaws standing around it. It's on one edge of the still, in the same handwriting as the name on the underwear.

My bad. I went back and had a looksie and you're completely right. I also reread my email from Alfie and he never actually answered my question about the birds so I guess I just assumed we wouldn't be seeing them.

To tell you the truth I was a little disappointed. They're great in the book but they just look clunky in the game. Like marionettes, hardly moving.

Drew the slig 05-24-2005 02:04 PM

Beat this one!

In the general store in the first Clakkerz town, walk around it - you will find a fortune telling machine. Press X near it and you see a movie clip of later segments of the game, ie: the future.

I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet actually...

The Marching Mudokon 05-25-2005 02:22 AM

Yeah, I remember that.
It has parts with the battle at Last Legs and so on, doesn't it?.

T-nex 05-25-2005 03:21 AM

Uh yea... but that's not really an Easter egg.... =/ i think...

The Marching Mudokon 05-25-2005 03:23 AM

Yeah, I think it's just a secret bonus or something like that.

Abe16 05-25-2005 07:33 AM

Nah, it's not much of a secret Drew. Sorry.

Oddish 05-25-2005 11:09 AM

Kinda recks the whole game, but it's an aright idea I suppose.

Nate 05-31-2005 10:26 PM

I thought it was a bit silly, quite frankly. Almost like it was trying to copy Prince of Persia but it didn't even help the gameplay.

Nath 06-01-2005 08:10 AM

The first fortune telling machine that i came accross was the one in New Yolk City, it had the clips of of Gloktigi and i got scared.

Apart from that and the Grubb idol and a few hidden chests, i havn't found anything.

Alpha 06-03-2005 03:04 PM

It is considered an "Egg" anything that doesn't nessecarily have anything to do with the game but is either:Viewable and has a certain text Interactive:Like the fortune teller

An example of an "Egg" Would be the scrab gun in Halo 2 or the elvis newpaper in GTA or the giant Easter egg in Max Power.

Nate 06-04-2005 05:48 AM

... If you search various online dictionaries for "easter egg", the main thing that seems to crop up is that they are put in as a joke.

I don't know about you, but I don't find this particularly funny. I think it just counts as a hint.

drakan90 06-05-2005 12:49 PM

I'll tell you a good Easter Egg example: (not Oddworld, unfortunately)

Tony Hawks UnderGround 2: Boston Level:

Smash through one of the Windows to see the famous Star Wars Kid and his cardboard tube.

Nate 06-06-2005 05:45 AM

... Fairly irrelevant in this Forum then.

There, I've said it (and rather politely if I say so myself) and no one else needs to put their two cents in.

Unless you really want to.
