Does anyone know if the German DVD Strangers Vergeltung (the dvd we all talk about) is in German language? I know that the box is in German, but will the DVD itself also be in German?? Maybe someone can compaire it to a French one.

I don't know... but I'm going to buy the game in the dutch part of belgium, where I'm sure it wont be translated :)
you have to see on the box I guess, it's always written which version it is over here. Like MO was available in both, French and English version.

I still don't know so I still don't preorder the game. All three german oddworld games weren't good translations compared to the quality of the english original. :/

My DVD arrived in the post yesterday thanks to the wonders of Ebay.

It is a little jerky, possibly due to the NTSC/PAL thing in my Xbox. I'll play it in my brother's computer and see if it's better.

A couple of points:

- Whoowee! that SeaRex is a mighty fine creature. Talk about living up to the hype, even if it is only a baby.
- I assume all the news footage about Molluck (without giving away any spoilers) was originally in MO. Not exactly how I thought it would pan out but I wonder how they'll fit it back in now.

Rip It! What kind of an Oddworld Fan are you?

Lets look at it this way. you made a beautiful selection of CG movies and you put them all onto DVD and sold them for a tenna each. One guy buys the DVD, rips it, and hosts it on Google Video. Word soon gets out that you can get this DVD for free, you don't need to get it on DVD. So, people start watching an apauling quality version of this DVD. They can watch it on the Internet so way pay out in the shops. If 100 people viewed this on Google Video, then you've lost out on £1000. How would you feel?

Now I know theirs was a promo disk, but imagine if they had sold it. They would have lost out on loads.

you see, you've never been in my country, so you can't understand me)))simple!our systems, computers, videogame systems, music CDs - all this working with pirate soft, 'cause getting licensed soft - very big problem: very big prices and...blin...zabil slovo...nu i ladno))so since all Oddworld games and DVDs are developed and sold most in America and particulary in Europe there are no chances to get licensed ODDstuff phisically...if you got it finally by some luckily reason there is no 100% guarantee that it will work on pirate XBOX or PS or PC...it's all simple...as for me - i will be glad to buy this DVD but it's nearly possible...you just don't know our thievness and burocraty...i'm fan, i have no desire for making money on such things...

by the way - do you now the situation with japan anime?if you like it very much how can you get it in time it released in Japan unless going into this country?))FTP - one and only answer!

Ebay can be quite cheap if you look upon that. I don't really care if everything is to expensive. I am currently an Amatuer filmmkaer but when I become a real Filmmaker, and I make the best movies ever, I will not stand for people who find my films too expensive and download them. you see, if you like the film but download it, then you decrease the chance of there being a sequill to that film.

If you think your home is expensive, then you should see ours. The Isle of Man is one of the most expensive places in the world. You should see our DVD prices. Even things you get down from Toymaster are several times more expensive than what you get in England, which is only a couple o miles away from us.

Also, I didn't say that you wanted to make money on it, I said that the people who make such DVD's want to make money on it. also, how do you know I have never been to your country? My Dad was in the Army and travelled everywhere when I was a baby, hence, my mother and I went with him.

Oh and by the way, I am not a citizen of America, I am a Citizen of Britain, but not a Citizen of the United Kingdom (It's a long story, look up the English Civil War about the Isle of Man and then you'll see how we are not part of the UK)

Edit: Also, I had to buy the disk from Ebay because being in the UK (Please don't make any comments about me contradicting myself), I was unable to get it via preordering.

Well, strictly speaking OWI would not lose any money if we ripped or copied the bonus disk as it was free anyway. Perhaps it's time someone emailed fan-legal and asked if they would mind if we started sharing it out to people who weren't quick enough on the ebay front.
