Okay I;ll bug my dad then ^-^

OANST 02-16-2005 07:40 AM

I got the book when I got home last night. It's beautifull. I got number 800. I was actually a little disappointed that the book itself wasn't numbered. It was only on the certificate of authenticity.

Angel-FoX-crescent 02-16-2005 08:19 AM

Yahoo! I've just talk to me dad and it'll cost £25 as I'm more then happy to get the soft cover, so I'll get it soon
cheers dad! ^-^

OANST 02-16-2005 08:28 AM

Does anyone else find it kind of ironic that the artbook is leather bound?

Alpha 02-16-2005 08:36 AM

Are'nt all art book's?

OANST 02-16-2005 10:05 AM

No. We are talking about a company that shows their greatest enemy as a meat packing plant. Then they put out a product made out of a cow.

Alpha 02-16-2005 10:06 AM

Sorry don't know what you mean can you explain that more thouraley?*

Angel-FoX-crescent 02-16-2005 10:33 AM

Another good reason I brought the soft cover... though that thought only poped into my head. When I was only a year 7 kid "11 years old" in R.E we watched a video about animals in the fur trade and how they were kill... needless to say I as the rest of my class buddies were mortified... 40 minks to make a coat?!
I've never worn leather or real fur besides I've got a pet bunny sat beside me at this moment and if Sophie could talk she'd flip out.

Nate 02-16-2005 05:55 PM

Alpha, you're an idiot. OANST was making a clear (but erroneus) point.

OWI aren't saying that everyone should become vegans and live in a cave somewhere. After all, Lorne's favourite hobby is fly-fishing. They are protesting against corporations raping the environment and oppressing under-classes.

OANST 02-18-2005 01:39 PM

I still bought the thing (and loved it). I just thought it was slightly ironic.

thatbluebastard 02-20-2005 05:56 PM

i'm going to go ahead and guess that by now, it would be too late to get one, aside from eBay.

how much did you pick them up for? how many pages and how are they bound?

Alcar 02-20-2005 10:04 PM

You can still purchase the book. Take a lookie over here: http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/oddworld

When I was at OWI last week, they had a copy of the book at the front desk that i sat down with and looked through. It's simply awesome; I'll be picking up a copy as soon as my next paycheck comes in.

mudling 03-21-2005 09:25 PM

all your infomation about the book is on the site but it has 3 different forms (soft and hard cover, leather bound) and has 256 pages.

wow, you went to OWI, i envy you. i live in australia so i therefore have never seen let alone the OW building in person.

It's not that special.

The entire studio is on the second story of a plain white building above a Ross department store. Nothing to look at, really. Even the door is inset into the wall and very hard to spot.

The inside, however, is quite nice; imagine everything from the art book in its original hand drawn glory hanging on the walls everywhere. Everywhere you turn there are sculptures and artwork from the Oddworld games decorating the place.

that sounds cool! thanks for the infomation
anyway, get the art book, it's worth it!
