:

try to download the latest version of QuickTime ;)

Yes, I actually did that last night, along with the latest RealPlayer as well :p

Apparently only QuickTime plays .mov files.

Alcar...

Wil 03-29-2004 05:57 AM

I get a semi-decent video with QuickTime Player 6.5, although with crabby's longer file, which covers the whole scene, I do only get sound and no video. I tried downloading the latest DivX codecs, but that didn't help either.

This video is the first time that we have seen paramites and scrabs together. I wonder how closely OWI followed production of the show to stop them from doing something that would not fit in with the spirit/ecology of oddworld

oddguy 03-29-2004 12:27 PM

Hehe, my movie works perfect. The only problem is its size. In the file world, larger is not better. :p

I don't think you should see this linked to the quintoligy, Oddworld probably just gave permision to use their characters and species and let them do what they wanted with it. See it as an inbtween joke :).

Mac the Janitor 03-29-2004 03:36 PM

Yeah, it was a simple cameo. I wouldn't get too worked up on it if I were you.

Xavier 03-30-2004 05:58 AM

It's just something fun...
I quite liked it!!!

paramiteabe 03-30-2004 06:15 AM

Yeah it was decient they should have also put in Munch doing some tricks in his wheel chair. Like a pop a wheely.

Paramiteabe... :fuzblink:

Havoc 03-30-2004 12:14 PM

that would have been fun to see :) How about putting in a glukkon police officer giving them a ticket for being on a private property (being the waste dump).

I wasn't worked up, I was just wondering how much input OWI had had (cos they probably wouldn't have done it that way) or if - like Havoc said - they just gave them the CG models and permission to do what they wanted (which in itself seems out of character for OWI)

Havoc 03-30-2004 04:29 PM

I just rememberd something, there is one place where we have seen paramites and scrabs together: being the presentation area where Abe get after AO and at the beginning of AE.

oddguy 03-30-2004 05:06 PM

That's right. When everyone is cheering for Abe after saving 99 mudokons. There was a Paramite and a Scrab, each atop a pillar.

Me too, it just looks rather stupid with hair as curly as mine.

Havoc 03-31-2004 01:35 PM

Scrabs and Paramites both occupy the Wilderness Region, and possibly other regions as well. However, Scrabs are diurnal and Paramites are nocturnal, so they rarely bump into one another, but if they did you can expect a vicious hoedown. :D

Mac the Janitor 04-01-2004 05:15 AM

I think I remember reading somewhere that Scrabs would occasionally hunt paramites as a primary food source...am I just imagining things?

Wil 04-01-2004 06:13 AM

I would say so, yes. Your ponytail is obviously affecting the electromagnetic fields in your brain. Never have I read such a thing.

Nate 04-01-2004 12:50 PM

All this discussion about Scrabs and Paramites living near each other has got me thinking so I set up a new topic to discuss it

I just looked throught my TV guide, and for you people who live in the UK, and have Sky. They will show Gameover on Trouble, that's for the people who have'nt seen it, or want to see it again, but with better quality.

Okay then, that's why i'm here to post this.

Xavier 05-25-2004 07:51 AM

Wil 05-25-2004 11:47 PM

Bah, ntl dropped Trouble from its standard cable service when they jacked up the price. I wasn't upset at the time, they only ever showed rubbish. Looks like I'll have to wait for it to go terrestrial.

Zach Roy Wilson 05-29-2004 01:46 PM

I have no Idea if this was already posted but... I saw all six (was it six) episodes and it's no longer airing...
