I love you. :stare:

I love you too :stare:

I won the Vykker T-shirt. It hasn't arrived, as of yet.

Cheers, You lucky duck! Oh well, I'll just make my own shirt but it won't feel the same seeing how as it's unofficial :p

EDIT: Oh I almost forgot. How much money did the bid end in?

Disgruntled Intern 04-18-2004 10:34 AM

I'll be placing my Mud-Mood shirt up on ebay soon.

It's a little worn out, but still great. It's the pissed off mud, by the way.

Sekto Springs 04-18-2004 10:36 AM

I'll keep an eye out for it, what size is it?

Disgruntled Intern 04-18-2004 11:05 AM

I believe it's a Large.

DeBulletDodger 04-18-2004 11:46 AM

I must have an oddworld shirt but im a meduim and i cant find like any on ebay :fuzsad:

Disgruntled Intern 04-18-2004 12:12 PM

Gain some weight, and stop whining.

Wil 04-18-2004 12:28 PM

Sorry to pick, DI, but this is a wonderful example of a completely pointless post in GD. I made an announcement a couple of days ago, although I notice that a whopping great 11 people have read it.

Disgruntled Intern 04-18-2004 01:35 PM

You're right. I'm sorry.

To save this from becoming another pointless post, if a member of the forums wins the auction, I'll throw in a free AE poster.

I had to pay $40 Australian in the end, which includes the postage and handling. I added an extra $2 though, in case the Australian dollar was to fall overnight :p

Alcar...

I honestly don't know how much an Australian dollar is worth in the US, but it sounds like alot ;)

DeBulletDodger 05-05-2004 11:05 AM

I just don’t understand any currency apart from my own.

Alcar what do u know of the mini statues of Oddworld characters.

oddguy 05-09-2004 03:19 PM

Look what oddguy just won at ebay! Hehehe. :D

Mac the Janitor 05-09-2004 03:35 PM

Oddguy, "Pampered Pam" (the other bidder) was actually the seller under a different name, raising the price so that you'd have to pay more.

oddguy 05-09-2004 03:36 PM

Loser...that's cheating. :flames: How do you know, anyway?

-oddguy

Mac the Janitor 05-09-2004 03:38 PM

It's a common technique used by sellers. It would be the only reason someone would bid...what, 5, 6 times in a row?

Oh, and check out this wigged out Abe magnet...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Wigged out!

EDIT: and a...chair?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

oddguy 05-09-2004 03:43 PM

Yeah, I saw the magnet and thought it looked...strange.

The chair is cool though. And it's new. I'd buy it if I had not just gotten the poster set.

Xavier 05-10-2004 06:14 AM

hey hey, lots of good things here
to bad I can't buy on ebay... :(

EDIT: the abe on the magned is from some old fanart, NOT OFFICIAL!

DeBulletDodger 05-10-2004 06:56 AM

I want that inflatable chair damn USA only.

Wil 05-10-2004 08:20 AM

I was gonna bid on the posters, but A) shopping was to the US and Canada only, and B) I just spent £17.43 on Oddworld merch from eBay - and I'm meant to be saving for a trip to Thailand. So there goes one [poor] week's wages. :(

Enjoy your posters, oddguy! I'm sure there's a place you can complain to for such an act. And if not, just leave negative feedback for the swine.

Ha! I knew it! Abe was green and funny looking.

I sure will enjoy them. I just hope this seller's dishonesty goes only as far as his/her selling tactics. The description said mint condition...and I better get those posters in nothing less than that for the $20.00 I paid.

oddguy 05-14-2004 03:50 PM

Just got the posters. They sure are bigger than I thought they would be. They're huge! I can't wait to frame them. The only problem is that each of them are bent on the bottem left corner. Although, it won't be noticable once they're behind glass. Now all I need is some money for frames! Until then I'm keeping them in the tube.

-oddguy

Xavier 05-14-2004 09:50 PM

heh... mine are framed too...
they are absolutly brilliant, they are hanging in my home.

Software Bug 06-28-2004 01:22 AM

Wigged out!

I know this is old, but I just wanted to say something, because stuff like this is the reason eBay pissses me off now days.

That isn't official merchandise. Some guy went and got them made up himself and is selling them to cash in and make money. OWI aren't getting any royalties, nor are they licenced.

People do it with FF merchandise all the time, they make their own and it pisses me off, because much of it is worse than that magnet, really cheap and nasty stuff that looks bad. There was even one guy once who used a wallpaper I made for my Advent Children site as a T-shirt. He even left my website URL on it ... so I guess free advertising for me.

What I don't understand is how people can get away with it. Like the gaming companies should put a stop to it. I know it's probably not really much different than selling a promo item you picked up at GDC or E3, but I just think it's low to make your own merhandise and trick people that it's authentic.

[/rant over]

Abe Babe...

the brew master 06-28-2004 08:15 PM

well i can see how it pisses you off

Software Bug 06-29-2004 12:34 AM

Yeah I got pisses off once when i searched on google for oddworld sites and then i found a site with a picture of oddworld that I MADE for my website but now its on ther homepage!!!
I mailed the webmaster about this an he said he "borrowd" from my site.
since then i have a NON rightclick code on my site but then nobody vissits my site anymore so i clossed it.
But i wil reopen it soon!!
This is just SICK if other peaple steal you pictures with your copyright on it!!!

Sekto Springs 06-29-2004 09:08 AM

Disabling the right-click doesn't really stop anything. You just have to take a screencap and crop it in an art program.

Cloverfield 06-29-2004 09:21 PM

LOL ... that's what I do. ;) I see fanart of Sephy that I want to save and people disable the right click, so I do that. Or I go to View -> Source from the menu and work out the URL of the image itself and enter it in the address bar. But I just save them for my collection [over 1000].

When using fan art on any of my websites, I will only display fan art that people have sent to me, and provide an email or url for the original artist if it is somethng they wish to have included. Although no one has sent me OW fan art for like forever.

Abe Babe...

Software Bug 06-30-2004 08:23 PM

LOL i say too,

I save fan art as well but do not use them.

Xavier 06-30-2004 08:48 PM

easy way to get rid of the non-right-click
click left, hold it, click right,... it works on my computer ;)
