When I first saw the Kickstarter I was like "Okay. A cheap piece of shit running on Android technology that I can hook up to my tv, and will play thousands of really awful games that I will have to sift through, all of them having microtransactions....that will never make it out of Kickstarter." Later, when I saw it got funded, I just kept repeating "You stupid motherfuckers" over and over in my head.
See I thought exactly this, but deep down I harbored a sense of inferiority that I must be missing something that everyone else is understanding.

It's a console run on Android that forces free to play aspects into every game. What else could it have been?

Also, I hate the name. Much worse than XBox One.

Xbox One isn't a bad name really. It is however a stupid name in the console's lifecycle. Surely the first Xbox should of been called Xbox One. Like y'know, Playstation One..

Agreed. "Nintendo One" would be equally perplexing. To me it just makes me think that Microsoft wants to consider itself "number one" or wants to see it as a digital media device for every household. I think it's cocky and it might well cause their downfall.

That's just stupid. Why would gamers want to restrict a console to a box only playing games?

It's the same as saying "Fuck iPhone, I want my phones to do nothing else than being able to handle telephone calls".
