Well, vignette style movies are still movies. Look at Creepshow. Granted, the Animatrix is more like a showcase of different artists and ideas, but it never really advertised itself as a singular, full-length movie either.

A lot of movies about games would really be better suited to television series.

One I always think would make an AMAAAAAAZING series is Mass Effect. Surely, you'd have to do some jiggery-pokery to get to the minimum requirements of at least 5 seasons, but it's possible.

And you could make a side mission into an episode.

It'd kinda be like Firefly, just...with aliens.

They were thinking of doing a 'Condemned' film, but having aliens instead of demons. Stuff like that irritates. I figure either follow the plot, or don't and do a separate franchise altogether.

Condemned didn't have demons, just lots of crazy people and cultists who were less than human. I have no idea how they would even retool that plot to involve aliens... then again, they did it for Doom.

They could adapt Gears of War into a period drama.

Mister Darcy, no!

I thought the first Silent Hill had some great set design and the creatures were truly unnerving. That's about as good as video game movies will ever be.

Despite the fucking up of the story. I can forgive that though, it's an enjoyable film.

I always felt that if Silent Hill was going to get the movie treatment, it would have to have that kind of avant garde feel. The surreality of SH is welcome material for arthouse horror. The movie was more like a monster showcase, which was awesome in it's own way, but it wasn't really Silent Hill for me.

The film had it's flaws, but to be honest it was a fucking Oscar winner compared tio that shitstain that was released last year.

It was pretty much Hollywood saying "Luk gaise Luk wat we can do wiv special effex hurr".

I don't care how good it looked, it was a fucking mutilation of Silent Hill 3

Lars Von Trier should direct a Silent Hill movie.
