The only "prejudice" is oftentimes justified dislike of self-proclaimed "gamer" girls who don't actually know the first thing about videogames and just use it as a way to control weak-willed boys. Most actual female gamers don't make a big deal about it.

I knew a 'girl gamer' who used to be in my guild in WoW. When I moved up to Glasgow, I became close friends with her boyfriend and my God she was a hateful little shit.

I don't mind casual girls who refer to themselves as games half as much as the ones who are actually gamers to the point where their entire personality hinges on it. The ones who are just really bad stereotypes that wouldn't even exist if they didn't try so hard.

And therefore...?

Going back to the girl-gamer thing, there seems to be a trend on gay dating sites of guys describing themselves as being a 'nerd'/'geek' when they really mean 'dirty hipster'. Or possible 'Super gay and likes Glee'.

That happens. There's levels of everything.

Go on facebook and search for the term "I'm such a nerd" sometime.

I know a hipster girl(shes pure, stereotypical hipster... As in.. She calls everything swag, pretends shes a gangster, likes odd shit just to be cool), that once told me: Im so jealous of the fact that you know how to play games. I wish I was a gamer, because then when people ask me what Im up to, I can be cool and say "I'm gaming". I mean that's so cool!

I was a gamer before it was cool. At the time it was a hobby for wrinkled, unfunny, nerdy losers. I don't know why I got into it, I'm not wrinkled, unfunny and nerdy

What the fuck is a Hipster??

I don't see what the problem is with people trying to fit into social niches so they feel like they belong. Yeah it's annoying but if it gives them a sense of inclusion and makes them happy then so what? They're not harming anyone. I classify myself as a sort of nerd, but I don't D&D, I don't war huge glasses and I'm not socially inept. I also like to think of myself as a gamer even though I don't have 500 games and an HD TV to plug into my multitude of consoles. I just do what makes me happy with the people I feel I fit in the most with.

But that isn't what a hipster is, a hipster is essentially the opposite of that.

I wasn't talking about hipsters, to be honest I don't give a fuck about hipsters either, they don't register as something worthy of attention.
