Homer's Oddysee.

That was what the second episode of The Simpsons was called wasn't it?

The one where he's mistaken for bigfoot? I think so

pupbenny 08-04-2012 06:50 AM

No, I thought it was the one where he starts standing up for the community or something.... Hang on I'll check....

*Some minutes later.*

Yeah, I was right but I think that you was right about the second episode being that one you said. Because I was mistaken and Homer's Oddysee was actually the 3rd episode.

Scrabaniac 08-04-2012 06:56 AM

Would have been cooler if it was about homers father instead, that would make an epic reference

I'd say mine but someone might steal 'em....

Tired Glutton 08-04-2012 07:03 AM

You could uh, send 'em in first then post them

pupbenny 08-04-2012 07:06 AM

I sent 'em yesterday.

Is anyone else having a problem submitting ideas? It keeps telling me that it failed to submit my suggestion and I should contact Oddworld through another method.

EDIT: Fix'd

How did you fix it?

pupbenny 08-04-2012 07:21 AM

Wil, how do you know if the ideas were submitted? Do you get an email or something?

Wil 08-04-2012 08:28 AM

They go to a shared email account. But in one day we've got 1000 suggestions, so I'm not going to go rummaging for specific ones.

pupbenny 08-04-2012 08:44 AM

No, I know, I was just making sure I wasn't meant to get an email or something.

Also, how many times can you enter?

Wil 08-04-2012 08:52 AM

Any number. Knock yourself out.

And no, I didn't think to set up an automatic message to the sender, but that could be really simple to set up. Or impossible. I'd have to investigate, and it's the weekend.

pupbenny 08-04-2012 09:03 AM

Ok, and one last question! What if you choose a name but someone chose it before? Are you making sure that it is protected against that? You don't just choose the first one you find you choose the first person to send that answer?

JennyGenesis 08-04-2012 09:30 AM

Well, maybe they will credit everybody who had the same name, like Wil said, they had 1000 e-mails in a day, would be hard to find a specific one.

I didn't do anything, I just kept clicking submit and eventually it worked. :D

Most email clients have a “sort by date” option

JennyGenesis 08-04-2012 10:43 AM

Well that wouldn't help, as people could submit the same name on different dates.

About 500 of the 1,000 e-mails were from Jordan :tard:

Oh dear. The youth of today...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_odyssey

Homer was an ancient Greek poet of very wide renown.

STM 08-04-2012 12:53 PM

I was wondering if they were doing it on purpose so I actually didn't even bother commenting. No one is that dull in the head, surely?

AvengingGibbons 08-04-2012 02:03 PM

lol, I know that homer and odysee have something to do with greek myth. but what we were saying was completely valid and true also.

...is it the story about the island with the cyclops?

That constitutes one segment of the The Odyssey, yes.

seriouslyoddfan 08-04-2012 02:59 PM

Here's my suggestion:

"Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee: Systemic Relief"

"Systemic Relief" serves as a pun, referring to 1) Abe's escape from the industrial system and 2) a total refashioning into a 3D form.

That has to be in a little bubble at the bottom of the box.
