This thing is never getting started.

I was under the impression we had a solid majority in favour of playing RE4, I don't understand why all of you jumped back from that, but at this point the thread seems worthless.

If you want to make a suggestion, the game needs to be Multiplatform. That is the one and only rule.

Hazel-Rah 03-20-2012 03:49 PM

I'm in favor of playing RE4

Because I changed my mind of course.

I agree that it should be multiplatform. Games from last gen that have been ported to the new systems seem perfect. They are on old and new systems, as well as be emulated easily for the mist part. BG&E, RE4 are both good contenders.

Spooce-aholic 03-20-2012 06:03 PM

A PC that can just barely play BF3 on recommended system requirements. (If enough people want, I'll post exact system specs. In the mean time, just PM me.)

A Wii.

An Xbox360.

A PS2.

An N64.

A NES.

A SNES.

An Original PS.

An Original Gameboy.

A Gameboy Advanced SP.

This maybe Unoriginal, but how about AO, AE, MO or Minecraft?

I also have some DOS games like Theme Hospital, Tank wars, Wolfenstein 3D, etc.

I also have some other games like Quake I - IV, C&C TFD, DOOM II, the Sims 2, etc.

I think that's about it.

Mac Sirloin 03-20-2012 06:30 PM

The problem with Minecraft is that A) OWF already has a respectable community of steves and B) Minecraft doesn't seem to have a discernible endgame. Additionally, the Oddworld games are a great idea but I'd like to leave them for a bit later on, maybe see who can beat them all in one week or something.

RE4 and BG&E are both great ideas, but what systems are they available for?

What about going to the End and defeating the Enderdragon?

What is RE4 and BG&E?

Dynamithix 03-20-2012 09:08 PM

Resident Evil 4 and Beyond Good & Evil.

Wings of Fire 03-20-2012 10:15 PM

I'll pitch in my vote for BG&E.

We also (probably) need a chairperson to keep this from going everywhere, since this was Mac's idea I think it should be him.

Mr. Bungle 03-21-2012 03:09 AM

We could have two games going at once. I don't have Beyond Good and Evil nor the money to buy it, but do have RE4.

DarkHoodness 03-21-2012 04:00 AM

Beyond Good and Evil is currently £5 on steam and very much worth it. My 7 year old PC ran it quite well.

Phylum 03-21-2012 04:02 AM

It's on the PSN, too.

I think that is probably the game to go for. I've been meaning to play it.

Mr. Bungle 03-21-2012 05:06 AM

If I were to get it, it'd be on PSN. Can't imagine playing a Zelda clone on PC.

That said, there are several other games on PSN/XBL I've been wanting for a while, so I think I'll hold back on that. If you guys wanna do BG&E though, go right ahead, I'm not stopping anyone.

Mac Sirloin 03-21-2012 07:33 AM

I wasn't aware BG&E was on PSN, mostly out of laziness, so my vote is for that. I've beaten RE4 roughly 20 time anyway.

Also, when did they release RE4 on the 360? Anything added to it?

Daxter King 03-21-2012 07:44 AM

Same time they put it on PSN, same version as it.

Dynamithix 03-21-2012 07:54 AM

It's a really lousy "HD" remake, nothing extra in it either.

Hazel-Rah 03-21-2012 12:43 PM

I'll vote for RE4 only because I already have it; but if we do BG&E I could get it.

Mac Sirloin 03-21-2012 01:50 PM

Mmkay, I want to take a vote on everyone who already has Resident Evil 4 or Beyond Good and Evil, in any version on any platform. If you do, say RE4 or BG&E in your next post.

And then the people who have immediate and willing access to them, say *RE4 or *BG&E.

I want us to start over the weekend, with a 2-3 week deadline. Sound good?

JennyGenesis 03-21-2012 01:53 PM

*BG&E

Dynamithix 03-21-2012 02:05 PM

I have access to both but *RE4 because I want to play that more.

Daxter King 03-21-2012 02:23 PM

BG&E

I also want to nominate the Half Life 2/Episodes and Rayman 3 for future games after the first two.

MeechMunchie 03-21-2012 02:36 PM

*BG&E

Screw A-Level revison. It's not like I was going to do any anyway.

DarkHoodness 03-21-2012 02:51 PM

*BG&E

And agreed with HL2 and episodes - They really deserve a playthrough by anyone interested in games, for those who haven't already (and who hasn't?).

Mr. Bungle 03-21-2012 03:45 PM

*RE4

Also backing up HL2 + chapters.

Wings of Fire 03-21-2012 04:08 PM

*BG&E

Also about HL2, yet to play that.

MeechMunchie 03-21-2012 04:12 PM

I played HL2 pretty recently, so I'd be sitting that one out.

Phylum 03-21-2012 05:13 PM

I agree with Rayman 3 at some point. Also HL2 because I haven't played them yet. I bought the Orange Box on PS3, but I never use my PS3. It was a silly move in hindsight.

I think I'll have to sit out of this round. Too busy.

Hazel-Rah 03-22-2012 12:07 AM

If we're gonna do Rayman I think we'd be better off doing 2 since it's available on like every electronic device known to man; also it's considered one of the best games ever made and I know a few of you prefer 3 so that'd be something to discuss.

MeechMunchie 03-22-2012 12:09 AM

Alternatively, play Rayman 3 because it's better. :p
