some great panic scenes
All of those films are masterpeices, except Cloverfield, i've never seen it, it looks good though.
Its's good if you like an hour of a shaking camera in the darkness. And about half an hour of seeing a massive monster destroying a city from the view of a pedestrian.
Yeah, it's pretty good. |

[REC] was great. The sequel not so much.
I didn't even watch the sequel as I had already read tonnes of bad reviews.
Well it's not that bad but it's worse than the first one for sure. I still reckon it's a good horror movie.
You know what's a great horror movie? Hellraiser 3.
I can't tell if you're sarcastic or not 'cause I haven't seen any of the Hellraiser movies. I have heard that their quality really jumps up and down through the series (as in some are good and some are really bad).
3 is the best. Hands down. Burn it on a cd. Then let Cenobites shoot that cd out of their heads.

:
Hellraiser 1 - Best Hellraiser 2 (Hellbound) - Pretty damn good, arguably the only good sequel Hellraiser 3 (Hell On Earth) - Awful. OANST is yankin' yer crank. Sorry, OANST. Hellraiser 4 (Bloodline) - Awful with the exception of the scenes that take place in the 1700's. Hellraiser 5 (Inferno) - Probably the least terrible of the sequels, but still not as good as 2 Hellraiser 6-8 - Awful Hellraiser 9 (Revelations) - Exceptionally awful. We're talking "The Room" level awfulness. Partly attributed to the lack of Doug Bradley. There's talk of a remake too, which pretty much every one is staunchly opposed to. You just know it's probably going to happen anyway. |
Fine. Hellraiser 3 took a perfectly good horror series, and raped it's ass to pieces. I am actually offended by how bad that movie is.
Hellraiser 1 was just a good movie, not just a good horror movie either.
To date, it has not been matched visually in it's visceral scope. Clive Barker knows the key to making the grotesque beautiful. Part of it's charm was the low budget kept them from being too grandiose with the visuals, which actually made it all the more unsettling. Like any movie, it has flaws, but what I love about it is despite being so bizarre and twisted, the story makes complete sense, and nothing to me felt thrown in out of gratuity or necessity. I wanted to post the "Jesus Wept" scene, but unfortunately the only videos I can find of it are people filming their TV's. I may actually just rip the scene myself and upload it. |
That's okay Sekto, I wasn't planning on sleeping tonight anyway...
I get giddy when horror movies I like have that effect on people.
first Hellraiser is great. i have all of them, i wish i didn't.

no, i didn't even know that existed, but now i do.
god almighty. |
Yeah it's... it's not good.

I loved DS9. My favorite of all the Star Trek shows.

The dinner scene from Natural Born Killers, sick but funny.
Warden Dwight McClusky! I think it's Tommy Lee Jones' best performance. |
There is nothing good about Natural Born Killers. It's just, from beginning to end, a terrible movie.
I liked it a lot.
Its as good as House of a Thousand Corpses.
No. It isn't. It's an objectively terrible film.
I enjoyed House of a 1000 Corpses too.
They're both terrible. The sequel however, The Devil's Rejects, wasn't that bad.
