Missed like a hernia.

An African-American? badum tsss

I really don't get that joke. Probably because I never owned an iPhone or any of those fancy Apple gizmos.

You'd think that but no, it's his pancreas. Too soon?

Wings of Fire 10-09-2011 04:21 PM

Pro-tip: Tasteless jokes are usually tolerated because they're funny.

Daxter King 10-09-2011 05:20 PM

I heard not even an apple a day could save him.

Apart from STM's. They are just bad

Wings of Fire 10-10-2011 06:28 AM

That was the implication, yes.

Crashpunk 10-10-2011 06:33 AM

Ah.

Fuck.

STM 10-10-2011 03:27 PM

Not my joke, I just wanted to show there are worse ones out there.

Bullet Magnet 10-10-2011 06:34 PM

No topic should be off limits to comedy. The only caveat is that it actually be funny. This requires that it also be true.

Manco 10-10-2011 11:35 PM

There’s a time factor involved too I think. The closer to the original tragedy it is, the more likely a joke will be taken badly, be it funny or not.

MeechCrunchies 10-11-2011 12:27 AM

All the Apple Employees are getting pink slips, because now they're all Jobless.

Sekto Springs 10-11-2011 08:46 AM

Ba-zing.

It didn't just happen. I'd bet money that when he retired in August, he knew he didn't have long to go.

It vaguely bothers me that everyone credits Jobs for Apple's success. Sure, he was an inspirational leader and pushed for high standards, but much of the success for the iPod and other products must lie with Jonathan Ives and the countless other engineers and programmers who made them work. But then that might just be the resentful engineer in me saying that.

Also, my joke of the day is: Will Steve Jobs' gravestone be a blank, white, polished marble slab?

Absolutely. This has always been one of my gripes with the Jobs' fanbase.

Some guy called Tim Cook is the new Chairman of Apple. Apparetly Steve quit Apple in August so he's been in charge since then.

Having read through the entire thread, I was most disappointed that no one followed this up properly. Steve Jobs' personal wealth will go to his family, and/or whoever is outlined in his will.

Furthermore, not only did Steve Jobs completely decimate Apple's corporate philanthropy when he regained the helm, he never reversed that decision when Apple bounced back into the black - a promise he had made.

A lovely outpouring for a person who contributed nothing but to the creature comforts of those wealthy enough to afford his products.

I shared it on my wall from her :p

That picture has been bouncing around the 'nets since Jobs' death.

Much like Nathan, it sums up my feelings too.

Even though Ritchie didn’t die for a week after Jobs did?

Alcar 11-15-2011 07:55 PM

Erk, I meant Ritchie.

Phylum 11-16-2011 12:49 AM

I didn't even know he had died.

moxco 11-17-2011 08:50 PM

Not many did; which reinforces the message it's trying to make.

Phylum 11-17-2011 09:48 PM

I know. I was just reinforcing the message it's trying to make.

MA 11-18-2011 06:26 PM

i was just reinforcing my mother.

MeechMunchie 11-19-2011 07:09 AM

She's a bit frail these days.

STM 11-19-2011 07:45 AM

There's definitely a market for titanium alloy mothers these days.
