It's bloody hot at the moment isn't it. We clocked 31 C in London in the afternoon, be safe CP, always carry water with you, wherever you go!! HYDRATION!

31 isn't bloody hot! I just had an entire week in Vegas without it dropping significantly below 40 and I still spent significant proportions of the day outside.

Ridg3 08-04-2011 11:57 AM

Heat is a foreign concept to us British folk. As soon as it hits 14 degrees Celsius the fucking sunglasses and barbecues are out and all the fat cunts don an apron with no shirt.

In a nutshell, of course.

STM 08-04-2011 12:31 PM

14 degrees knobbly knees, that's the saying.

Wings of Fire 08-04-2011 01:12 PM

I deal very badly with excess heat.

That being said, I also deal very badly with excess cold.

STM 08-04-2011 01:21 PM

I function very badly in the cold, in the heat I'm dandy so long as I have a supply of water. I really hate the snow, it's all right for the first day or two but unless it's keeping you off college/ school it's not worth falling.

I looked so hard for a clip of Dave's Syndrome to no avail. I feel like shit that all I can offer you is an image.

I can handle the cold to about 2-3 degrees (provided there is very little wind). Otherwise stop complaining about the heat British people, try being a white person living in an almost-tropical climate.

Phylum 08-05-2011 01:46 AM

I hate the cold. It was about 10o all day today. I was stuck in a t-shirt at lunch, too.

EDIT: My point being that while it's all well and good for Australians to call the English soft for their heat intolerance we're pathetic about the cold.

MeechCrunchies 08-05-2011 01:51 AM

What happened to what we were drinking?
When did it turn into cold fat British people?

If your trying to be funny, its failing dramatically.

MeechCrunchies 08-05-2011 04:48 AM

Well, tbh, I was voicing concern for the drinkiness of this thread..
but the little midget in my brain told me to throw that in there.
I listen to him. bad things happen when I don't.

Wings of Fire 08-05-2011 04:52 AM

Again, see above post.

Crashpunk 08-05-2011 05:02 AM

I do agree with the fact that we should stay on topic.

starting from now!

Mac Sirloin 08-05-2011 08:45 AM

At the moment I'm finishing off a big tank of fuzzy navels rigged up to the car. I can go anywhere and just get some broad wasted. TONIGHT!

Sorry, my fault. I come from Melbourne; the weather is a legitimate conversation topic there.

And, erm... I had a coconut juice yesterday. It wasn't as nice as it sounds. But this hotel serves delicious orange juice at breakfast.

Mac Sirloin 08-10-2011 07:55 PM

Somehow I've managed to have Sangria about 5 times in less than that many days, but also more than that many days. It's a colourful, fruity drink.

It's also good for drinkin'.

Nate 08-10-2011 11:10 PM

I drank Saki for the first time tonight. The company was good too.

MarsMudoken 08-10-2011 11:49 PM

I drink water with ice. Juice, if I can find any.
Nate is going to find someway to infract me for this. Yes, I tempt fate.
Delicious.

Can you stop with the seriously dumb Nate 'jokes' you're posting like crazy to every thread?

I'm drinking something called 'breezy'. It's water that tastes like raspberry. It's pretty good.

JennyGenesis 08-11-2011 05:07 AM

Tried some punch Tuesday night.

Pieces of fruit with Strongbow, Champagne and Pineapple Juice.

Considering that Strongbow is the only thing in that mix I like I was very surprised to find how tasty it was!

learn to spell.

It's freezing here. IT's been a really hot summer, but for some reason it's just Cold as BALLS.

MeechMunchie 08-11-2011 08:19 AM

Since the word is translated phonetically from another writing system, I'd say you can't really argue about the spelling if they're both pronounced the same.

As much as I hate having mispelled something, it was worth it to upset you that much. ;)

酒 <- さけ <- Sake: The word for alcoholic beverages in Japan. Commonly used in the west to mean rice wine.

さ <- Sa as in salmon

け <- Ke as in kettle

き <- Ki as in kick

沙紀 <- さき <- Saki: A female given name in Japan.

STM 08-11-2011 09:47 AM

Sake: Salmon Kettle...isn't that type of fish in animeland?

Wings of Fire 08-11-2011 09:49 AM

What?

Those were just pronunciation examples.

Mr. Bungle 08-11-2011 10:41 AM

Maybe Nate was trying to imply he enjoyed a nice Japanese woman.

The first time I drank Sake I went to see that dumb damn Tooth Fairy movie. It was gross and the movie was bad.

Together with Lorne Lanning? Remind me never to upload that footage on the internet.
