Installed it yesterday on my old as shit laptop. Despite the graphics chip not playing nice (due to the drivers refusing to install on anything besides Vista) it runs reasonably well, and the new UI feels slick as, even with just mouse and keyboard.

Oh, good thinking. Right after writing my last post, it occurred to me that the last time I installed OSes on my computer I forgot to leave a partition free for experiments like this. You've just reminded me that I've got several old laptops laying around that I can play with.

I'm certain I have no knowledge of the vast majority of all fiction out there, but shippers are shippers just as Mary Sues are Mary Sues and monster of the week episodes... You get what I'm saying.

How old? Mine’s an Aspire 9300 with a 1.6GHz processor with 4GB, and a GeForce Go 6100 (which doesn’t seem to be getting utilised due to no drivers). It runs okay, but the Metro UI can get a little choppy sometimes; so I’d recommend using something a bit higher-spec than me.
