This was so epic when I saw it in the movie theater.
Wow, it really is Twilight for boys huh?
What? Shite made for fellas?
Yeah, it's just so relentlessly overdone it makes me cringe.
And I assume that's a better part of the movie. |
I thought Scott Pilgrim was pretty fucking good.
then you're PRETTY FUCKING WRONG
nah, haven't even seen it. |
Scott Pilgrim was awesome, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. You need to have a high threshold for absurdity and ridiculous cultural references.
Why hasn't anyone posted this yet? *shakes head*
I was watching SP and I was trying to make sense of it all, it didn't really make sense... I didn't enjoy it. My friends though loved it, but that might have something to do with they fact that the don't watch good films.
I didn't think Scott Pilgrim was obscure enough. They tried to go for the gamer niche but then copped out and tried to make it appeal to everybody.
I always thought General Grievous was the best bad guy in Star Wars. Shit, I even have the old Grievous LEGO minifigure. I gotta find it though.
General Grievous was the only interesting thing in Star Wars!
I also really liked him; at least, the Clone Wars cartoon version of him. Unfortunately, Episode 3 turned him into a throwaway character of pretty much zero importance.

THANK THE LORD, I actually thought you were talking about the crappy one.

Liked Count Dooku more myself. As short as they were, his fight scenes were my favorite of the franchise. |

You know what's better than the Star Wars prequels?
Plinkett's reviews of course |
Why is there 7 parts? I couldn't even watch the first part to the end.

I see what you did there. But seriously, those videos were stupid.
Comebacks are better when they work, I've always found.
I enjoyed Plinkett's Star Wars reviews; they were in-depth, legitimate deconstructions of why the movies were bad, with some humour thrown in. Even if you didn't find it funny, it was still a damn good analysis.
Yeah Plinkett's stuff is hilarious, you just need to keep watching them Dynamithix. Eh, the Star Wars prequels weren't horrible, my biggest problem with them is that they lacked powerful antagonists with clear intentions like Vader and the Empire. The Star Wars prequels never built up the tension of the attack on the Death Star in the first Star Wars movie, you wanted to see the protagonists triumph. The new movies still had a a lot of cool action scenes and Grievous could've been cooler if he hadn't died in five seconds.
ANYWAY back on topic.... The original Star Wars is my favorite, this scene is so uplifting... |
I didn't really like the prequels either, but I loved Episode III.
My overall favourite is probably IV or V. I saw the original trilogy when I was 'bout 9 or 10 though so I'm not the one to judge which is the best one, haha. |
Episode III was definitely the best of the prequels, but that's not saying much. It was good, but not nearly on the same level as the originals.
V is my favourite. Also, going back a few posts, I loved the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated TV series. |
Episode IV is my favorite, I wish they'd go back to self-contained stories :(
