In my regretful experience of following US politics I have to say that is fairly run of the mill. A mill that frequently grinds out a similar quality of shit.

Meh, in these days, US politics is a very quick-paced pendulum. In short time, people will see their problems still haven't improved much, forget the promises and inspirational words of the ones who they elected, and assume the alternative is the best solution while never taking responsibility for themselves.
