In regards to the minister, one of the things that I will forever be thankful for is our nation's approach to freedom of speech and expression. Yes, we may say that what you are doing is dangerous. Seems to me that they just want to live their lives without anyone trying to kill them. Perhaps you should go and visit Israel; you may be surprised to see that it's the only country in the Middle East where Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druse, Bahá'Ã* and people of many other faiths live together and practice their religions freely.

Not entirely true. I've met representatives of all three religions who are wonderful, peace-loving people. And I've met representatives of all three religions who are absolute xenophobic bastards. The lesson here is that people can be dicks irrespective of which religion they follow.

My God is not compassionate all the time! Have you read the old testament. I mirror that as a human, sometimes I commit myself to acts of kindness but then again I'm also a bit of a douchebag, and slightly xenophobic, but never to a person's face. And I'm trying to be brutally honest as well. I still think of myself as a true Christian, sometimes being an extreme xenophobe proves how true you are to your religion, in this age, when you are shunned if you believe things against the norm.

Oh and in regards to that Masque thing they're building on ground zero, it's a community center they're also putting a Temple and Cristian church and also a Starbucks...hopefully.

I went to ground zero on the day last week... the memorial was two giant beams of light shooting into the sky, and what looked like fairy dust or something (sparkling flashes of light flitting in and out of view) turned out to be thousands and thousands of bats caught in the light. It was pretty cool.

There were a lot of people taking photos, and some people mourning, crying, etc., but generally everyone was just sort of getting about their day. It was a bit surreal. And the skyscraper they're building is pretty breathtaking as well. Big ol buildin
