Ryuufox, let me tell you how to use a more realistic lighting setting!
I'll just figure out how, and then I'll post back here! 1. Create a floor in your scene (you need only place a flat plane). 2. Add a skylight to the scene (doesnt matter where you place it). You can find the skylight in the Lights category. 3. Go to Rendering > Light Tracer. This will bring the rendering settings box up in the Advanced Lighting tab, and will have automatically selected Light Tracer as the type of Advanced Lighting. 4. Press render! (ps. Delete all your other lights) |

Partially trough. If you use a texture with spec and bump in most cases you will not see them if you only use a skylight. I only really use skylights when I need to render out ambient occlusion maps. @RyuuFox Looking really good:) So is your main slig body made out of different parts? If so you can delete the intersecting faces and merge the organic parts (keeping the facemask and eyes sep) Did you create this completely using polygon editing or did you use mudbox or zbrush? Reason why I ask is because you really have that nice muscular thing going on. Very nice, if only I could do something like this instead of the dodgy hard surface models I usaully make;) |

I have never used Zbrush or mudbox maybe in the future when i get a newer computer. Oh and im not very good a making things from one object its hard imo. |
Flyer
As you can see its still needs a lot of work! So yeah a WIP
I also had a ton of trouble finding a reference so the proportion are not great :C http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/2617/flyerlh.png http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/4116/flyer3r.th.png http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/544/flyer4.th.png http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/5003/flyer2.png http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/7621/flyer5.png http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/194/flyer6.png http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9006/flyer7.png http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/4544/flyer8.png http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/9794/flyer9.png I just want to repeat that this is still a wip. so please point out the flaws ( which are a lot) |
I'M A FUCKING FLYING SLIG, NOW LOOK AT MY FLYING POTTY!

The mis-fit was the critisism I was going to adress in this post…
Great job! These are really impressive! |
I quite like the pants and flying pants, aside from the size of the flying pants.
My biggest complaint is proabably the positioning of the slig while he's in any sort of pants. It would be easier to judge the quality if they were posed a bit. Aside from that, they look pretty nice. |

very good work.
Btw, by any chance have you heard of Garry's Mod? because these modals would be amazing to import to the Source Engine |

3D sleg :D
|
Eh... Not that good, to be honest. You shouldn't make so much new models that are rushed and not that detailed. You should polish up your older ones and then work on new ones. :)
|
Whats a Sleg?
|
Slegs were Slog-like enemies in Stranger's Wrath. Most likely related to slogs.

Your 3-D modeling is good, but your texturing needs a bit of work. Although it;s not like I could do this, but I've never done 3-D. By the way, what program are you using to do this?
Although you are one person, not a professional CG team, maybe I'm just expecting too much. |
Woah... I actually quite like the sleg. Keep going at it. By the way, did you ever get the slig to fit the copter seat?
|
these are epic keep up the good work
and also do you reckon you could try make a scrab that would be epic thanks |
