Sekto Springs 06-11-2010 10:06 AM

So why did you see it twice?

Disgruntled Intern 06-12-2010 04:36 PM

Gentlemen Broncos.

It was...Eh.

Hazel-Rah 06-12-2010 07:14 PM

Saw Alice in Wonderland, it's worth watching...with the sound off.

Seriously this movie doesn't take pacing into consideration at all and the dialouge is bad, otherwise I liked the look of the film it had a more story book feel than I thought it would.

Josh 06-13-2010 02:24 AM

I'm still waiting for the American McGee Alice movie.

Disgruntled Intern 06-13-2010 07:18 AM

What.

Ridg3 06-13-2010 07:23 AM

I watched the Human Centipede and the Prince of Persia film;

The Human Centipede is a disgusting film and Tom Six is definitely fucked up but nonetheless, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The Prince of Persia film surprised me though, I was watching it with the impression that it was going to be a shit film due to it being based off the games...how wrong was I? Very, it was a good film to say the least although the ending was horsecrap.

Disgruntled Intern 06-13-2010 07:36 AM

Human Centipede is just fun. People need to get over it already. "Oh, it was so gross!"

What the fuck were you expecting?

Ridg3 06-13-2010 09:54 AM

Josh gets it...

OddjobAbe 06-13-2010 10:25 AM

I've been watching The Likely Lads on DVD. Brilliant programme.

Dixanadu 06-13-2010 10:39 AM

I just watched Hot Tub Time Machine. Funniest I've seen this year.

Josh 06-13-2010 11:06 AM

Wait, Human Centipede is about people joined ass-to-mouth and forced to eat each other poop?

I can get that on the interwebs for free.

Havoc 06-13-2010 03:08 PM

Watched part of Fortress 2 on tv when I was visiting family. Holy shit does that movie suck :|

Strike Witch 06-13-2010 03:23 PM

They played that Dodgeball comedy movie the other night. I was half disappointed by the jokes and half grossed out, then Chunk Norris showed up and I was a bit -_-, then there was lesbianism and I was like yay and then they had that bit at the end and I was like FUCK NO and changed channels.

lol oh yeah that guy from Grandma's Boy is in that movie, robot voice, speaking of which Grandma's Boy was suprisingly funny. My favorite part was when he tries to heat up the food in the stove and grabs the tray without gloves lol. Never seen Dodgeball though sounds stupid.

As for American McGee's Alice, it looks interesting...like the Columbine kids O.o

Disgruntled Intern 06-13-2010 05:19 PM

So American McGee is actually making a movie? I thought that was a joke. I really like his games.

Grandma's Boy is one of the worst movies I've had the discomfort of watching.

I've been waiting since 2002. Don't get your hopes up.

OANST 06-14-2010 05:47 AM

I watched The Road. Sad movie made from a sad book. It was very well made.

Mac Sirloin 06-14-2010 07:20 AM

Land of the Lost, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and some Beavis and Butthead.

Holy fuck do I love all of those things.

Right? The only thing I disliked was how many flashbacks of the wife they had. I understand that they had to do it because virtually no one read the book, but still. Did you watch the deleted scenes? It broke my heart that they left lightning man out of the actual movie.

No. I didn't get the dvd. I watched it On Demand.

Poor lightning man. Really though, I can't think of anything else that was in the book that wasn't in the movie. I thought that they did a damn good job.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 09:23 AM

One of the only movies I regret not seeing in theaters. I also really liked the fact that they did short and sweet shots on the missing thumbs of the other survivors without explaining why they were missing. A nice little treat for those of us who read the book.

So why did you see it twice?

Because I'm me.

Uh, I don't remember what the thumbs mean, but didn't the guy who stole their cart have some missing fingers? That was because he was kicked out of the cannibal settlements or something, right?

Close. The guy who stole the cart had missing thumbs as did the 'good guy' who saves the son at the end. The missing thumbs were a punishment and permanent mark to show banishment from settlements/communes. Not Cannibal settlements. Why kick someone out of a cannibal settlement? That's just wasting meat.

Hazel-Rah 06-14-2010 02:52 PM

The new Alice in Wonderland movie completely ruined the March Hare who was my favorite character in the Disney version, I mean he was so clever and funny in the Disney version, Tim Burton's March Hare just threw things.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 03:30 PM

Are you surprised? Tim Burton is dumb.

Sekto Springs 06-14-2010 03:53 PM

The American McGee's Alice movie has been floating around in pre-production limbo for nearly a decade now. Originally Wes Craven was signed to direct, but the script has changed hands several times and been re-written into oblivion.

Needless to say, between Burton's Alice, American McGee's, and Manson's Phantasmagoria, people are going to be pretty damn sick of Alice.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 04:20 PM

Going to be?

Have been.

Sekto Springs 06-14-2010 09:31 PM

According to Wikipedia there's about twenty-five Alice adaptations. Good lord.
