So set a 100 x 200 size limit or whatever, it's just the hosting thing I care about.
|
Signature pictures are hosted on OWF's server regardless of whether you upload them from your computer, or specify a HTTP URI. That is how [SIGPIC] functions.

It's difficult - if not impossible - to impose size limits on images that aren't hosted on our servers.
|
"Signature images must be *width* by *height* or you'll be infracted" ?
|
You want us to do our jobs manually?!?!
|
That's what they do on normal-people forums...
|
If you think this comment is relevent, you can't have been paying attention to our forums. vBulletin automatically rejects avatars that are outside of the dimension and filesizes limits we've chosen.
|
If you've chosen them, can't you change them? It's so hard to make your pictures small enough.
Avatars at 12kb will be fine, thanks. |
never really had a problem with not being able to use an avatar due to its size.
only time that's ever happened is when i wanted to use a portrait of Bub from Day Of The Dead, but i don't get why, as it's a lot smaller than other pictures i use. EDIT: ah, it was because it was a PNG. changed it to JPG and it works. |
I have never had any problem in the slightest. I just pop it in Picure Manager, crop, shrink, done.
|
Owf always shrinks my avatar down to the correct dimensions. I like that. A lot. I hate manually recropping.

I'm fine with any kind of image editing, and JPGs are smaller but the avatars I use almost always contain transparency.
The current one does, as you can see. And if my image is too big it says IMAGE TOO BIG GO AWAY, although I can't remember the exact words. It doesn't resize it. |
It must just be me, my normal avatars on other forums is this size:

Don't worry, the Wallace and Gromit forums have a 50 x 50 pixel limit. This is nothing.
