My bet is that Hand of Odd was put on hiatus the moment they switched to Xbox.

It says that this game was speculated to be the fourth game of the Quintology.

I see that's logical...playing realtime strategy on consoles is very challenging...Unless it was planned as a strategy with direct control of characters...like in Sacrifice.

It was going to involve direct control of central characters that could then GameSpeak instructions to NPCs. It was inspired by the advanced GameSpeak and status systems that were meant to be included in Munch’s Oddysee. Lorne saw their potential for controlling large groups and entire environments and The Hand of Odd was conceived.

GameSpeak is so cool! It would be cool to play Hand of Odd!

Hey guys ! I'm new :). I'm an italian oddworld lovers ^_^.

I'm really depressed about the oddworld situations and i think that we will not see other games of OWI. Sincerely i prefer a lot Abe's oddworld and Abe's exoddus than the other two games produced.

Someone know why the site oddworld.com is "coming soon" from 2 years ago???? :|

There will be more Oddworld games. One of the memberes even sent an email to Oddworld Inhabitants and got an answer that there will be more Oddworld games. The Oddworld site says "Coming soon" because there is not enough info on the things Oddworld Inhabitants are working on that they want to release to the public.

I hope it... but i'm really perplexed... They had speak a lot in these years.. a lot of game titles never comes out :(

Some of these games probably will be released eventually. Only Nod's Oddysee will not be released for sure because Oddworld Inhabitants never planned to make this game. It was a fake rumor.

They're probably not telling us because before they gave us loads of games to look forward to then cancelled them. I reckon they don't want to raise our hopes.

Wage Wars is a game.

I didn't think they were making the game. I thought they were going to employ a games company to make it for them.

They outsource technical game production to external developers. OWI are the core designers/creators/directors, but animation/programming will be done by other companies.

Really sad.. =\
