MeechShrykull1029 06-01-2008 01:44 PM

That's what I said in the Oddworld Q&A thread. Well, not really. I did mention Fleches turning into Meeches.

Fuzzle Guy 06-01-2008 02:02 PM

Great minds think alike :D

No, but could that not be because the Meech is extinct? We don't know, do we. And also, as already stated, if Meeches were alive Abe would've gone through Meecharnia, and such areas were sacred areas so they must have revered Meeches. Plus the whole Meech cave sketches thing. Shrykull alone doesn't mean Meeches weren't sacred.

For one thing, don't take everything Alf says as canon. He has never stated that Meeches were sacred at any time, so we don't know that there definately would have been a temple. That answer may have been a quickie to shut the guy up, as Alf is wont to do.

Also, what are you talking about Meech cave sketches?

There is a wild type of Fleech. Maybe it's sacred.

I really want to know where you heard it.

Crashpunk 06-02-2008 11:06 AM

i think they would of lived in the sea like munch!

Yeah, there is always that with Alf. You never know what is and isn't true.

And read abe-is-now's post on the previous page quoting Oddworld-Web for the Meech cave thing.

The Oddworld Q&A thread.

abe is now! 06-03-2008 04:35 AM

And who told you it? Just for know...

MeechShrykull1029 06-03-2008 01:44 PM

Bullet Magnet.

Jordan 06-04-2008 10:24 AM

Maybe you misread something he said? I don't think BM would say something like that. As far as I know there are no wild Fleeches.

Bullet Magnet 06-04-2008 07:04 PM

The Vykkerz didn't engineer fleeches from scratch, you know.

abe is now! 06-05-2008 04:05 AM

I think Vykker created Fleeches to bo Glukkons's pet, because they are Glukkons's pet. And maybe they protect them from outlaws. It's possible they started producting them with a wildlife's creature, but I don't think anyone knows what it is.

MeechShrykull1029 06-05-2008 04:16 PM

The Vykkers created Fleeches for grooming. That's what the long tongues are for.

Nate 06-05-2008 05:09 PM

Perhaps as personal massagers also? :p

Bullet Magnet 06-05-2008 08:25 PM

Lordy!

abe is now! 06-06-2008 01:18 AM

I know this thread isn't about Fleeches but... could a Fleech be kept on a leash (by industrialists)?

Xavier 06-06-2008 01:46 AM

Well, they are the pets of some of the industrialists, that all we know...

So if they do or not would be a total guess. My guess is no, because wouldn't know around which neck to put it on.

Wil 06-06-2008 02:07 AM

Probably not on a leash. It’s hardly a creature you can take for a walk.

abe is now! 06-06-2008 03:58 AM

Maybe Fleeches are meek when they are with Glukkons...

Wil 06-06-2008 04:35 AM

Where meek means they have a neck and legs?

Where meek means they have a neck and legs?

... I thought Vykkers could make a particular leash just for Fleeches...

MeechShrykull1029 06-06-2008 04:57 PM

I don't think Fleeches even have necks. There's a Fleech in my sig, I don't think it has neck.

Sanssouci 06-06-2008 05:08 PM

You'd think they're more the type of pet who spend most of their time in tanks.

Strangers Wrath 06-06-2008 05:37 PM

This is just a theory, there were 2 trials = abe's two hands, if the mudokons worshiped the meeches or ever did, then wouldn't there be a trial for abe?

MeechShrykull1029 06-06-2008 05:42 PM

No, since Meeches are extinct. The whole point of the trials is to test Abe against the sacred creatures. I don't think he can be tested against meeches if they're extinct.

Wil 06-07-2008 02:09 AM

But had they not been extinct, and if they were sacred creatures, and had Abe travelled to Meechonia to complete a third Temple Trial to unlock the power of the Shrykull, where would Big Face put the third tattoo?

Xavier 06-07-2008 02:15 AM

left foot, the right foot already has a sacred fleech tattoo

the question is: where would the slurg tattoo go?

Oddsville 06-07-2008 05:16 AM

You dont wanna know where the Slurg one goes. I heard Abe got really drunk one nite and has a tattoo of bigface somewhere..

MeechShrykull1029 06-07-2008 05:28 AM

Did you hear that from Alf? It's just a joke then.
