In all fairness, we do let you out of the cage to run rampant every few months or so.

There are straight Mods :p

It's just the gay admins.

Alcar...

Yeah those pesky admins were trying to get me in bed with them when I was still a mod...lol :p

used:) 09-24-2008 09:17 PM

Ummm...Sligslinger's Rebellion?

Leto 09-24-2008 10:14 PM

Sligslinger's 'suicide attempt'?

Mojo 09-24-2008 11:26 PM

Whee! Teh Pilot's back!

EDIT: Formerly known as AlphaScrab, btw :P

Pete, let's not forget I never made Admin- just Super Mod. :D

But did Super Mod not used to be what became Global Mod, which became Admin? So you were the same thing under a different name, I think.

We only gave up because you’re hardly here any more.

Ummm...Sligslinger's Rebellion?

Was that when Alcar decided to instigate a spam crackdown (actually calling it such) and many people disagreed, and SS got worked up enough to convince several members to leave?

Anyhoo, it seems Abe Babe can now be crowned the only straight to have graced admin-ship.

Alcar...

I don't see that as a useful distinction. Let's put it as "Everyone to have graced admin-ship has been attracted to men". Much clearer.

Except for Searex, of course.

mitsur 09-25-2008 05:27 AM

I just noticed on this page of the thread that everyone has a custom title.

Really? I think that you will find that this isn't true.

Anonyman! 09-26-2008 07:36 PM

So what the fuck was Sydney? I'm still confused.

Mac Sirloin 09-26-2008 07:57 PM

Sydney was the guiding mind behind Oddworld, OWF, and the fandom as a whole. She touched us all in some invisible, indescribable way. She died for what she believed in, so that true warriors like you and I could survive.

mitsur 09-26-2008 09:54 PM

Wow, I've never been called "The Pilot" before, I'm very honored.

Well yes then in that string of logic I suppose I was just an admin in everything but title, as I remember the "Super Mod" rank at that time was pretty much wide open as far as managing forum options and all that.

Bender, What the hell? what does that even mean, we're trying to demystify the past, not maek it more asinine! GAWD some people...... lol:p

But really, Sydney was the original creator of the Oddworld Forums back in the Late 1990s- originally OWF started out one one of those 'Freebie' sites; EZBoard if my memory serves me. The choice was made to move away from Qu-EZBoard when it got packed full of ads. Sydney was just an avid fan really, made some fanart which I may or may not still have (hmm...)

Sydney, during his tenure as Administrator simply decided he wanted to be a woman and apparently, by the time I found out, had been taking female hormones for a while. (Although its more likely that he wanted this for a time well exceeding beyond the beginning of OWF...) He was a very private person, so pics of him were hard to come by.... but one of the last pics I saw of him was the evidence, as you could tell there were already some major changes going on just by looking at her face. (I switch to "her" now as it was quite evident by this point.) Near the end... and I say "end" because she had already been forced away from OWF and it was also about the time I "left"... over on the Glass Asylum I saw she had a title "Queen Sydney". Someone else here can undoubtedly correct any aspects I may not have put clearly....

Thank you. I never did get those operations though. If I wanted fat bumps on my chest and another hole in my body I'd wait for a better operation to be developed.

Stuff like that is stolen from a friend of mine, he used to say stupid, disjointed bullshit and thought it was 'epic'. He sounded like an old Aboriginal on some kind of hard drug.

Yay for FarScape!

Farscape had a lot of cool characters, none i didn't like in fact but Pilot made the show for me; it wouldn't have been hardly as interesting without the mystique of Pilot there- always handling things behind the scenes. Pilot was almost what I'd call 'the spiritual one' he seemed to be in touch with things, very intuitive and very intellectual- yet very young and naive at times it would show. Always patient and selfless he was.

I also liked that 'Namtar' character; he was only in one episode in the first season- the scientist interested in fiddling with "Pilot" DNA. He was HOT! :p

Well we need chaos to balance out the so-called 'normalcy' sometimes........ or else, I don't even want to think what might happen...... women would become pregnant with fear, and adolescent faces would glisten with madness!

...think...pregnant...glisten

You're trying to trick me into having sex with you.

Rex Tirano 09-27-2008 01:37 PM

Did it work?

I remember that I loved Sydney so much [bearing in mind that I was like... 11 when this all kicked off] that I became terrified of Pilot. XD Heehee, youth.

Sorry man.

Oh don't flatter yourself.... although you do bend rods don't you? Is that what you're trying to tell me with that avatar? :fuzvamp:

I'm not surprised really, and you're probably not the only one. Put us both down for the 'youth' point though.

That's the one where Aeryn was infused with that DNA, right? And she had to take over controlling Moya once after that? Yesh, it was cool :D.

I tought it was really sad, when they met that Rohvu Leviathan... And when they cloned Crichton :P.

Yep, best series ever. Aering still gets me wet dreams... *pictures Rexy wearing the same outfits*

Yep, that's the one "DNA Mad Scientist" Here's the best pic of Nammy I could find.... no full body shots. ;)

Nate 09-27-2008 06:47 PM

If I knew what you were talking about, I'd split it off to another thread. Seeing as I don't, please try to keep it on topic.

Pilot 09-27-2008 08:33 PM

I can respect that, and I wondered about it myself... ultimately I figured that conversation has a natural 'progression' from one topic to another, particularly as quick 'asides' from the main topic.

So I don't think we're off "topic" per se or else I'd have started a Farscape thread, but your advice is noted. You're right, we can't be going too bonkers. :)

Anyway, yeah, Sydney.
