But ET is always called "he". Who knows what Munch is. Unless there is a direct answer to the question from OWI, then we will never know. |
And so every characters of Oddworld are asexual... excpet queens (Sam, Maggie, Skyllia). But they are all called "he". So I'd say Munch isn't male and isn't female. He is asexual!

It all depends on whether he has to fertilise the eggs. Given that gabbiar is derived from caviar, it's probably safe to assume that they're unfertilised eggs and that he must fertlise them, in which case he must be a sexual creature. Given that, and given the pronoun, it's likely that he is male.
Other than that; who cares? |
Male fish give their seminal fluid to eggs. And so eggs are fecundated. I think Gabbits do the same with their eggs, but I think they produce eggs too. So Gabbits could be a sexual creature...

The same things are being said over and over.

We don’t really need an explanation. Until Munch’s sex has any relevance to the story, it’s irrelevant. He’s not female. He’s either male or, like Abe, sexless. The best evidence I can think of for either over the other is that Gabbits return to Ma’Spa to spawn, strongly implying that there are males and females in roughly equal numbers, just Grubbs and Clakkerz.
|
Gabbits look like salmons: they run (the Mongo River) and they reach their spawning place (Ma'Spa). It's awesome.
|
How in the hell do they look like Salmons?
|
Think AIN means they act like salmon. Maybe Munch is like those Shelfish that can change their gender?
