Xavier, I believe many years ago Abe presented a section of the Oscars (I could be wrong?) You wouldn't happen to have the video of that would you?
No I'm sorry, I have no idea how far they went with that movie, I wasn't really following OWI at that moment
Lol, never mind. I'm sure, if Abe did present it, the video'll crop up somewhere on the internet in the future (especially when the Oddworld movies come out.)
The first fictional character I remember presenting them was Woody and Buzz when Toy Story 2 was released. It would probably have been the year before that so I (being six years old) didn't care about the Oscars so would have missed Abe. |
Abe didn't present them, I'm sure we would have heard of it...
Certainly it makes no sense to have an unknown character from an un-nominated film present an award.
The Bug's Life characters also presented an award. |

There is a mini-clip where Abe is playing AE in the desert. And then another Mudokons show AE's CD's box (French). What is it? Is it related to the short film or to other things?
It’s an advert.
I was kindof dissapopinted in the film TBH, I thought it would be more than just a guy talking in between the ingame clips.
cool! I need to watch this vid! It's opening up media player as I speak. Thanks a bunch!
EDIT: finished watching it, and thought it was pretty good. :) |
Aw, man. :( When I read earlier about there being a special Abe's Exoddus movie, I thought it was something specail that OWI had created, rather than the movies from AE patched together with some FMVs of a mudokon talking. :P
Still, thanks for uploading this anyway. :D At least we all didn't miss something by not being in the cinema when they played this - And any extra FMV footage created by OWI is awesome, even if it's just simply a talking character. (I'm glad I got the original FMVs on that Stranger DVD which Alector gave me a while ago. Even if they're in Deutsch. :P ) |
Hi. I found the link to this video via OddBlog, but I cannot figure out how to download it, or any of the other videos hosted in the same location. My cursor does not allow me to click on the title, description, picture, size, et cetera, in order to download this video - how do I do it [I have DivX and Firefox, although I tried this through Internet Explorer as well, just in case]?
Thanks for any help you can offer me. |
Hi KintoKid. You have to click on the word ‘DIVX’. This is because some other videos come in more than one filetype.
Yeah I should try to find some time to put the links in another color, I think it will avoid some trouble :p
Awesome! thanks
Aww, my Windows Media Player doesn't seem to want to play it. Really disappointing.
Just download a free DivX player.

I'm working on a script for what the reporter says during the video... it is a bit hard to understand. I'll edit this post later.
"We're reporting to you live outside of Necrum Mines. We can't get any closer to the cemetery-turned mining facility as it has been closed off to all non-Glukkon personnel. This is the reported site where Abe, Glukkon enemy number one, claimed that the Glukkon-run corporation, SoulStorm Brewery, is using some highly controversial ingredients in their massively successful line of SoulStorm Brew entertainment beverages. This story first began when we started receiving these tapes. Now remember, you saw it here first. Here it is: the bone-brew connection. Well, Abe followed that train into Necrum Mines where he also found a more potent potion of brew. Abe has since been charged with several slick fatalities that occurred during this daring escape. Just after that ambitious exit, Abe met up with the 'tres (???) hombres,' a group otherwise known as 'those dudes now dead.' And Abe was afraid, but after they told him other Glukkons used their brew. Destroy the brewery, save the Mudokons... Whatever Abe's intent, these press releases show the Glukkons had a much different perspective; a blatant denial of Abe's position as a union leader! Here's more. Additional publicity releases show SoulStorm management clearly feeling the pressure of Abe's presence. And as Abe got deeper into the Brewery, the pressure was building. It was then that Abe learned just how to achieve his goal. But just before Abe reached the boiler, he learned the secret ingredient. And that was the last straw. And that's how the Brewery went broke. Since then, a wonderful recovery program has been built for those infected with Brew. Unknown still is Abe's whereabouts since the demise of SoulStorm. What is known is the grand opening of a new and improved micro brewery. But be warned, for consumer reports have claimed that the new brew is more bitter and less tasty than the original blend." |
