There's actually one place where there's a glitch that allows you to pass the Mud before he shoots at ya. Damn you XP for not allowing me to install AO so that I may take a screenshot of it!

Mm-hmm, there's an entire formula for that. It's in my walkthrough somewhere...hang on...

EDIT: Aahh, here we go:

Shortcut — get as close to the Mudokon as you can (this may take a little practice). Something I noticed about these Native Mudokons — they can’t whistle and use their weapons at the same time. So carefully time yourself to the very moment when he whistles and his head leans forward. You should be able to roll past him without getting shot.

It doesn't work for every one of them though. I tried getting past each of them that way, and I found that only one didn't kill me. I believe it was the one that stood on the other side of a gap in the Monsiac Lines.

Wah, wah, wah, they ALL work.

This calls for another excerpt:

The untraditional way is to walk back into the next screen, come running back, make a running jump and land as a cliffhanger on the ledge smack in front of the Mudokon. (EDIT: Don't forget the cliffhanger, because if you don't land hanging onto the edge of the gap, you will either fall or get shot) Then get up and, again, time yourself to the precise moment when the Mudokon makes his whistle. It saves time if you do it properly, but if you don’t practice it can be a real pain in the neck.

EDIT: WHoops....I'm stupid...I read your post as "The one I couldn't get past was the one on the other side of the gap...blah blah blah..." Seriously, they all work. You just have to be really fast. Here's what you have to do.

When you're in the screen before the one where you know a native Mud will be, RUn into the screen with the Mud. Don't just walk into it. Stop a few steps away from the newly appeared Mudokon, or you'll get shot. Don't stop too far away though, or you won't have enough time to get through. Bottom line: get as close as you can. Then execute the procedure relayed to you in my previous post...

The first pic isn't there, and the second isn't really remotely exciting or funny.

I know, neither of them are exciting or funny, I just couldn't find any other excuse for posting the pictures (just one of those things that you find, and wish to share). The first picture doesn't seem to want to appear. I might have to re-take the damned thing. I'm sorry if this has been a waste of time.

Those are some really funny pics psyke. Unfortunately, I only have the PSX version of the game, so I can't take pics :(

I used to do it by plugging my playstation into my computer. I had to do that for a while anyway when I had no TV. The player software had a screenshot tool.

Here's one that I found on Oddworld.com. I call it... GIANT SLOG!!!

I should try getting the PC or getting my PSX version onto mah computer. BTW, funny pictures, I need to take some! I need a lot of funny things.
