Because they were originally wild creatures. Vykker's Labs just hasn't come to Western mudos yet to cage them up.

Nate 02-21-2006 07:52 PM

I also remember reading that Fuzzles were created by the Vykkers as handy test subjects.

Xavier 02-21-2006 11:18 PM

hmmmm, I can't remember that, to me fuzzles always were wildlife.

Biggy Bro Slig 02-21-2006 11:35 PM

How come Oddworld Inhabitants isn't carring on Stranger? *Spoiler*
We saw that Sekto got away. Why are they making Hand of Odd?

Xavier 02-22-2006 12:08 AM

because they are focussing on movies now and will not release any new game before their first movie is released

Ninjaxe 02-22-2006 01:05 AM

:

Fuzzles were not created by the Vykkers, they are wild creatures. Fleeches, however were created by them.

i understand that fuzzles exists in the wild but fleeches were created by them...

That the three weirdos. Scab, Paramite and Fleech right. The question is...Did the Vykkers create them before mudos started to worship? or after Glukkon kids started playing them as pets?

Slaveless 02-22-2006 05:06 AM

Actually, I belive that there was a time where Meeches were the thrid temple creature. But I also remember Alf complained about that subject. Maybe that was in the FAQ.:dodgy:

I see your point, but I don't think the Fleeches are worshiped, one of the three weirdos simpliy had a hat designed based on a Fleecher, theres only two inportant creatures in that area, so one of the werdios just didn't want to feel left out. The reason Fleeches could be chosen is that they are one of three biggest creatures in the Necrum jungle and probably becuase they are migthy predators. Of course Scrabs and Paramites are worshiped, but the Fleeches are not.

Slaveless 02-22-2006 09:56 AM

But what about Meeches!? They were worshipped (Or so I heard) before they all died! Doesn't anybody read my posts!?

Wil 02-22-2006 12:57 PM

Alf says Fleeches are wild animals. When the Vykkers are described as creating Fleeches, it must mean they adapted existing Fleeches to create the Fleeches we see today.

Fleeches aren't worshipping by the Mudokons as sacred creatures in the same way Scrabs and Paramites are, but being wild animals, Mudokons hold them in high regard for fulfilling their niche in the ecosystem.

It is thought that Meeches were once worshipped by the Mudokons. The strongest evidence of this is Alf's claim that, had Meeches not been extinct, Abe would have had to be initiated into the corresponding temple before being granted the power of Shrykull.

Ahhh, this has been talked about for generations! But no, it's been stated by Alf, many times, that Fleeches were not worshiped by Mudokons (Especially any of The Weirdos).

outlaw king 02-23-2006 11:34 PM

Heres a quik question.

Whats the super bad ending like in mo?
* possible spoilers ahead *

I have seen the one with the fuzzles getting abe and munch , and i have seen the happy one , so whats the super duper bad ending lke?

Xavier 02-23-2006 11:53 PM

same as the bad ending, with a newspaper bonus

outlaw king 02-24-2006 12:02 AM

I think ive got that one

Cullen Heath 02-27-2006 09:20 PM

Xav, thanks to you, I started wondering.

Take a look at this picture that Xavier so nicely cropped and inlarged for us a long time ago.

Okay, Xav or Max could one of you tell me if you think that I'm right about this:
You see that curl on top of the Mudokon Egg? Now, notice how there is also a Fez type thing (You know. The bottom part of a Mudokons hair.) on the Egg. Do you think that maybe that is actually the Mudokons hair sticking out of the Egg? That this is how the Mudokon Eggs are, and that a baby Mudokons hair stays curled until it's born?

Ninjaxe 03-02-2006 01:33 AM

Just a quick question: Are there any diffences in sexes...is there just queens like bees. There are only dominant female which will reign after the death of the present one?

Nate 03-02-2006 06:34 PM

Search the forums. There have been numerous discussions on the matriachal societies of oddworld, theories of sex and succession.

outlaw king 03-02-2006 06:38 PM

He he ( childish accent ) you said SEX . In that photo Cullen has supplied us , what the hell is that intern there for? Whats that liquid dripping from his lower half?

Is it birth juice .

Or wee?

Or dribble?

Shrink 03-03-2006 06:54 AM

All of the above.

outlaw king 03-03-2006 11:15 AM

How gruesomly gruesome! I wonder why hes peeing?

The Marching Mudokon 03-04-2006 01:07 AM

Why not?
Can anyone get me the link for the fuzzle testing game?

Nate 03-04-2006 03:32 PM

I think that's just there to show that they're icky slimy creatures.

Sekto Springs 03-04-2006 03:41 PM

Yeah, the same drippage is in alot of original Farzad artwork. He's just emphasizing the grotesqueness of the li'l buggers.

outlaw king 03-04-2006 06:11 PM

EEEWWWW! what is this " fuzzle testing " game? Is it like neo pets?

Sekto Springs 03-04-2006 06:15 PM

Um... no. It was a promotional flash game released by OWI when Munch's Oddysee was in hype. You simply test various Vykkers Labs products on fuzzles and watch the humorous sideeffects.

outlaw king 03-04-2006 10:34 PM

Great! can someone provide a link?

Sekto Springs 03-04-2006 10:41 PM

Erm, I believe there was one saved on Oddworld Universe, along with the whole Vykkers Labs site. But considering Alcar doesn't want to renew the domain, it isn't accessible.

That isn't to say that one of the other vets hasn't saved it, and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to send it to you.

Xavier 03-04-2006 11:42 PM

it was on "The Oddworld Archives" one of my sites, I'm still waiting to put it back online along with TOGG

Ah, that's right. Thanks Xav.

I hope you get TOGG and TOA their own domains soon.

EDIT: Here you go, Outlaw King. http://www.oddworldlibrary.net/toa/
You can find Test A Fuzzle under 'Websites'.
