One more fear...

-being kidnapped

Freakiest thing ever! Why? Because u don't know what they might do to u.

NO.

Because YOU don't know what they might do to YOU. OK? You managed to spell the majority of the sentence right, so there's no need to cheap out on a couple of three letter words.

I hate getting annonymous e-mails. Getting e-mails from people who i don't know. I'm also afriad of Bigfoot. Yes yes, go ahead laugh at me for bing so dumb. But I've read articles and sorta grew to thinking, "maybe, just maybe," I sometimes go camping and wonder what will happen.

Statikk HDM 07-08-2005 08:19 AM

Crickets creep me out. I believe this is the 4th time I've typed that here and I still can't believe it. Effing crickets.
Fox News, because I know my mom will watch it at 2 in the ****ing morning when I'm trying to sleep on the couch.
Violent dogs, especilly tethered ones. I know if that chain or tether breaks or comes out of the ground some rabid dog is gonna eat my ballsack and jugular.

Wasps. I often have to face them. At my grandmother's house, they make their hives in the mailbox next to the entrance. But I only had 2 stings yet. Once, I stepped into a wasp at a pool (with bare feet, of course), and recently one of those things got into a shoe. And then, I grabbed that shoe with 2 fingers inside it. So the little bastard even had the right to choose.

So I'm getting immune to them over time... :D

And high dams. All that water falling down, the noise it makes, and if I look at it from the top of the dam... That's scary too.

I was afraid of lighting when I was young. I grew out of it, but a close, loud *CRACK* still suprises me.

Same here, I hate wasps. I've always had a little fear of them, but over the years that's changed from a "get as far away from the wasps as quickly as possible" to a "kill the wasp as quickly as possible!" ;) I've been stung twice, but only one was from a wasp; the other was from a bee. They were both on the foot though, possibly the same one, too!

Also, wind, it's pretty scary if you're in bed at night and the wind's ripping around the house rattling windows and banging the unlatched door outside my room.

Fire, that used to be fear number one, but I've grown out of it since then, so now I still have respect for fire, but not fear. And I think you all know what I mean by respect, not the same sort as you'd give a person. ;)

Alcohol and drugs are things that I'm a bit afraid of, too, they have so much power! The fact that you can take them without knowing it doesn't exactly make it any easier.

Abe16 07-11-2005 09:40 PM

Being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I hate that. I have the power to sence when i'm doing something wrong, but say, "Hey, whatever." and ignore my cents, *ahem* Scence.

Can agree with nearly all of those. Except planes. I can take planes.

I love the view and stuff, Its just the part about the plane maybe crashing and terrorists scare me.

Rich 07-12-2005 12:56 PM

I don't understand fear of planes. It's like, the safest thing ever.

I know it is one of those 'wtf?' phobias, but I somehow got stuck with a terror of riding in cars. I don't know how it came about, but I'm really afraid of getting into a car crash. It started with me not wanting to get in them, and when I did take rides, I was nervous. It progressively became worse. I refused to sit in the front seat because I was afraid that a piece of metal would fly through the windshield and hit m. Often times I would have to close my eyes and sometimes I would cry.

I can speak back on that now because I haven't gotten into a car for a good few weeks now and I don't plan on getting into one. I know this will have to change when school starts up again... My parents almost forced me out a few days ago and I broke down.

I am afraid of lots of things.

Wasps - A lot, I think I mentioned this once. In Florida when I was five or six, my brother would call me over and throw a rock at a beehive, and I would be confused until he ran away laughing and they attacked me.
Fire Ants - I can't even stand the name.
Having someone break into the house - Add 'and getting raped' to that.
Diabetes - ._. Hopelessly terrified.
Being infested by parasites - Who isn't?
Computer Malfunction - Strange noises, beeping and shutting off, etc

Most of my fears deal with my personal health. I wasn't so afraid of injury/death until recently. Now that I think about it, it has gotten out of hand... x_x I guess it's because I don't like leaving this house. I'm safe here...

(edit: I must've been smoking penguins or something because I said that being afraid of lots of things was a 'lighter note')

My dad has Diabetes and says it's a chance i might get it to, I'm scared...
My computer has a very loud shutting off sequence, I shut it off at night, and then Run to my room. X(

Rex Tirano 07-17-2005 01:46 AM

What I'm scared of:

Drowning - That'd be the worst day to die, I can go in watter but I generally stay clear away. It's just the thought of drowning... It scares me.

Being alone - It's a pretty stupid fear. But I'm scared of being left on my own by my friends, not in the literal sense. I'm not scared of being on my own in a house, I mean emotionally. Like my friends all fall out with me majorly or everyone just are arses.

Otherwise I'm not really afeared of anything [except needles and cockroaches. But come on!]

- Rexy

I had something like that happen once, I was looking for something on a CD file and there is a error sound that has a monkey making that noise that they make and the worst part was, the speakers were put almost all the way up so I yelled for a half second. (I almost jumped out of the seat)

-Using the compy late at night. Here's the story: I am using the compy late at night and i suddenly here whispers in my head or way way behind me I here a word that comes from the living room like "Wow" and the TV isn't on.

-That "falling down really fast" feeling. Yes, I know its a silly fear but if you have seen "The Sixth Sense" you would understand.

That movie was shockingly terrible...

Am I one of the only people on these forums who likes to be scared? Play DooM3, you infidels! You'll jump once, then you'll be like, 'Meh'.

big bro boogie 08-17-2005 02:18 PM

Old topic... but anyway.

This is the same feeling which pops up when something scares you. (You turn around at night and you see a spider in front of you. WoW!)
I would describe it somewhat like an unpleasant underbelly-orgasm... (What? :D :p )

Somehow... scary-like games don't scare me at all. Just don't play them at night. (Except for Silent Hill. That's just possibly unbeatable>.<)

Being scared is fun, people. Has anyone noticed that when in the dark, you look at things without blinking, that they morph into weird shapes? Very good scariness indeed.

If you should die before you wake... BWAHAHAHA!

That be mildly good fun. All I have to do is look at Rexy and she turns into a crazy sex fiend, but thats hardly scary. She's still all cute and cuddly. :p

I thought I was scared of Cockroaches. Till I nailed one on holiday that is. I'm still trying to devise an anti-spider plan though...
