A few more strange Odd Facts:
(This is a follow-up to the toilets in Vykers Labs) Vykkers and Interns wear no clothes, and I can see that they don't need any toilets, so they must be Mud Toilets.

Interns do wear clothes... some sexy speedo stuf :p

Odd Trusting 11-24-2004 12:43 PM

Yeah I always though that was kinda freaky, and with that matching hats.

Cyber-Slig 11-24-2004 12:56 PM

I played MO and discovered interns have asses . Possess one and see it for youreself .

Nate 11-24-2004 01:42 PM

Interns were originally meant to wear G-strings (or thongs for non-australians) which showed off their pimply arses.

Al the Glukkon 11-24-2004 02:24 PM

That would have been disturbing.

Maybe one of the muds cleaning the Intern rooms threw up.

Odd Trusting 11-26-2004 08:14 PM

Well there are lots of funny strange things in the games like you know in MO when you watch the movie about the Vykkers putting sonar in Munch's head, well the Intern comes in with a fuzzle in his hand and drops it. There are 5 fuzzles plus the one he drops but when you start you only have five fuzzles, also what makes a Vykker male or fremale when they can reproduce on there own. Why can Abe fall about 100 feet from a pole which he hit at 200mph or something like 320kph and still live? And I could keep going if ya want. All these things aren't supposed to make sence (expect for maybe the fuzzle thing) thus Oddworld is well dare I say it...Odd.
P.S. I can give you a list of 20 more little things like the ones I mentioned if anybody wants them.

Fuzzle Guy 11-27-2004 12:10 PM

I want them, their cool

About the Fuzzle: Biggy Bro Slig noticed that, and I said maybe he died

Another starnge Odd fact:

If there are those thingies in MO that bring Muds back to life with Spooce, then why did Abe even bother saving everyone from Rupture Farms, Soul Storm Brewery if he could just bring em back to life anyways :fuzconf:

Oddish 11-27-2004 12:38 PM

Prehaps the it only brings back if the Mud died near by

Or mabey the muds didn't have those back then.

Xavier 11-27-2004 12:59 PM

Abe can only resurect native muds, who lived in the free wilderness, not the slaves who lived captured in the industrial world

Odd Trusting 11-27-2004 02:02 PM

In AE it says that there are 200 Mudokons, well one blind falls off a cliff when Abe tells him to follow him but he there are no causilties when you check your Qurma. The Sligs in AO have a straight solid red visor where the ones in the clips in AE have 2 eyes instead of a visor. How come in AO you can jump into the portals yourself but you can't open a portal for yourself to go home? Why don't sligs shoot fleechs?Vykkers know what Nictine is when that is a substance grown on Earth (their is an addicitive substance called Nictine on Oddworld too I suppose). I will keep up new odd facts like this in my posts (just don't wanna give em all away at once)

Oddish 11-27-2004 02:34 PM

Well shouldn't you know? Your the Mud.

Fuzzle Guy 11-28-2004 01:08 AM

Maybe they stole the Nicitine from Earth

Hmmm... well, it could be due to the fact that... no, wait, it's... I dunno.

That's quite a good question. And I have the answer! *throws tea in his face* RUN MY MONKEY SIDEKICK! BEFORE HE GETS HIS BOOMSTICK!

Well I have a strange fact. Interns have asses!
:

I played MO and discovered interns have asses.

Oh... *tear runs down face*

Wil 11-28-2004 03:01 AM

Nicotine is simply a chemical. We can hardly be surprised that there's water on Oddworld.

Xavier 11-28-2004 10:20 AM

the chemical elements are the same then on earth... basicaly
imagine if they have to imagine a whole new chemical system, pure maddness

Software Bug 11-28-2004 10:21 AM

then we will still be waiting for MO , or even for AO!!

Al the Glukkon 11-28-2004 11:28 AM

:

Why can Abe fall about 100 feet from a pole which he hit at 200mph or something like 320kph and still live?

Because in MO he is bouncy!

Xavier 11-28-2004 01:05 PM

and why is he bouncy?

well Alf said it was because of the spooce

(antisipating :p)

Nate 11-28-2004 02:04 PM

:

The Sligs in AO have a straight solid red visor where the ones in the clips in AE have 2 eyes instead of a visor.

Alf explained this.

Real-World Explanation: the 2 eyes give them more character and expression.
Oddworld Explanation: The visors played havoc with they're depth perception, causing a number of workplace accidents where sligs kept on walking off platforms or into machinery.

I'm surprised no-one's asked Alf about the extra fuzzle. I"m sure he'd come up with a funny if unlikely explanation.

Odd Trusting 11-29-2004 02:21 PM

Yeah I know Alf expained it but that is kinda weird still considering the Flying sligs have 2 eyes in the game. Oh and how about this one. You know when you possess a slig in MO and you go around insulting everyone and one of the responces is "yeah sure, and ya motha" well they all got the same mother so they be insulting there own mother

True...but I doubt any of them feel any affection towards her.

Odd Trusting 11-30-2004 10:28 AM

Thats true. Well I'm back to dump my daily quota in. Did ya ever wonder what happened to the sligs guns in MO. In the previous games their guns where automatic machine guns and in MO they are more on slow pace shooters like rifle speed shooters. What about Abe and Munch, how did Abe become so tolerant of bullets in MO where on shoot would take him down in AO and AE, did he build up an natural immunity to bullets or something along those lines. Heres one that someone has problely mentioned, in AE all the movies/cut sequences they feature Abe with 3 fingers but still in the game in AE if you look close at Abe's hands he still got 4 fingers even though the the movies show him as having 3

Oddish 11-30-2004 11:00 AM

Bullets im MO are Soulstorm brew.

Odd Trusting 11-30-2004 11:06 AM

but why did they go with Soul Storm brew when they would jepordise there attack speed.

Wil 11-30-2004 11:31 AM

Because if they use Consumer Goods weaponry, they can get Muds addicted on Brew, making them susceptible to ‘employment’ as we've seen in Abe's Exoddus.

Odd Trusting 11-30-2004 11:53 AM

The sligs didn'tthink that one out on there own But why use it inside their facilities where the Muds are already working for them (unless they make all their weapons sole stock so the only weapons available are those with SoulStorm firing action). And why not use them in Abe's Exoddus. And doesn't everybody miss those killer meat grinders and bone drills that MO seems to be missing

Wil 11-30-2004 12:07 PM

:

And why not use them in Abe's Exoddus.

Because OWI hadn't designed them then.

:

Kinda, but as Lorne explained in early interviews about going into 3D gaming, the player can simply walk around obstacles like these.

Odd Trusting 11-30-2004 12:26 PM

I know they hadn't designed them yet, but what is the Alf responce (aka the Oddworld reason) for them not using them. And I see what ya mean about being able to walk around them, but how come Abe just didn't walk around them in AE and AO, all the land in the game couldn't only be 3 feet wide (or 1 meter), that is a question for the Abe man himself, I'll go ask him.

Wil 11-30-2004 12:40 PM

An Alf style responce might question your ancestry with various references to livestock and YY homologous pairs. Well, maybe not, but I seriously doubt he's take it so seriously.

All the locations we've seen prior to Munch's Oddysee took place quite apart from those in MO, including RuptureFarms, SoulStorm Brewery... and the Slig Barracks. We know that the area the Slig Barracks is in has its own signature Moolah, and we know all these locations are linked very specifically by the FeeCo Depot, and are/were all owned and run by Molluck. My guess: Molluck simply doesn't allow anything so wussy as Product Delivery Firearms in his territory, prefering cold hard quick-firing bullets.

Odd Trusting 11-30-2004 12:51 PM

:

Yup we went through that one
In regards to the weapon use in the various areas through out Oddworld, it seems that Mullok part in this all forcing them to use bullets sounds like that is most likely the reason.
