There is much good music made with the assistance of electronics. The only problem is that most of it is pure shit.
It's great to expand your horizons, as it can add lots of influence to your own playing/writing and can expand what you consider to be "normal" or orthodox in music. I listened to this one for real (full way through) tonight for the first time. It really hit me. |
Dudem Fly Lo is so fucking good it hurts. Seriously though, he has some good tracks.

@Steamer Holy shit that's a lott of FlyLo. To be honest I didn't like his stuff much at all until I heard it while stoned. Thought it was just noisy and annoying before that.
@OANST I've only heard the album I linked to (can't stop listening to it, actually) and a bit of their second one, which is pretty good but not as good as their debut, I think. |

Maybe "accesibility" is the word I was looking for.
I've only heard, like, 3 full Animal Collective albums(not including EPs), but I still think Merriwether is a great album. It does get a tad repetetive, but I find their repetition kind of grows on you in a weird, psychedelic. Feels is still their best, though. At least out of the ones I've heard. |
I like Merriwether. It's just my least favorite of their albums. It's like sex with a really pretty girl early in the morning. You know she hasn't brushed her teeth yet, but it's still awesome.

Worth it.
and I'm having a really hard time getting into Sung Tongs. It feels very scatter-brained at times. I know it's good, I'm just having difficulty really loving it like I do their later stuff. I still need to check Strawberry Jam too, been putting that off too long. |
Sung Tongs was the first album I ever owned by them. It was Feels that made me fall in love with them, though.
This is the video I saw that made me pick up the album: |
I fucking love it when people experiment with sound. |

Finally decided to check out some King Crimson stuff other than In the Court of the Crimson King. It's pretty groovey. Kind of like if Talking Heads were a prog rock group.

I like Daedelus.

Here's something new:

I can sing all of the lyrics to this |
steamer_KING you love that track, right?

But my favourites are these two: |

I got the CD from my GF a while ago. There is a lot of epic music on there, but this is by far one of my favorites. |

He didn't buy the CD. He just... got it.
Tigers have no respect and don't support the artists they like. |
Okay, well to be honest she ripped the music from Youtube and put it on a CD. But it's the thought that counts. This is actually one of the few CD's I wanted to buy, but I can't really tell my GF that without insulting the work she put into it.
|
Cat's don't smoke...I mean, Tigers don't steal music!
|
I've been listening to a lot of Smelliott lately:
This song made me tear up a little bit the other day. It's just too good. Also apparently the new Bad Religion is pretty great, might check it out. |

Speaking of Venus and Mars, |

Hey Steamer, what'd you think of Epicloud? Pretty underwhelming, for me. It had some decent songs, but nothing that really brings me back to listen again like his other albums. Wasn't nearly as epic or loud as I expected.
|
:
Now, EPICLOUDER, the 2nd CD of Epicloud, has some neat gems, like "Quietus", "Love Tonight", "The Mind WASP", "Woah NO!" and "Socialization", making it more heavier and Devin-like. I've yet to listen "Epicloud", "Cry Forever" and "Take My Ego", but I doubt it'll make my views change that much. |
I had no idea Epiclouder was a thing. Might have to check it out.

Found this guy a few months ago. His work is pretty good for the most part. |
