Haven't listened to The Fall. I've been to busy rediscovering my old musical preferences and realising what brilliant taste I had. |
Possibly my favourite Animal Collective song. It's just so mesmerizing and relaxing. Awesome. Puts me in a trance every time. |
I really like Benn Jordan's music. Some of the beats in the last song remind me of Machinarium's OST.
If you were wondering about those different artist names, he goes by Acidwolf, Human Action Network and The Flashbulb. |
|
What I've been digging lately:
The last one is one of my favourite songs of all time, by one of my favourite bands ever. Also, I'm seeing the Pixies in two days, and am quite excited. OK, so that's enough music shit for one post. |

I was going to post 'Your Love' by Keane, a song which I feel bad about liking but really like anyway, and features pianist Tim Rice-Oxley taking over vocal duties, which was a good move, since the man can sing. Normal singer Tom Chaplin feels the same way. However, finding the album version on YouTube was impossible. Instead a bit of the lyrics will have to suffice.
The chemicals react And molecules collide The poison works its way Somewhere down inside When we were young I really believed Love would never leave us But time has a knack of pulling the rug out From underneath us And nothing matters anymore I'm still a victim of your love And now I'm banging on your door Tumbling backwards with your love Over and over in your love I know they're only ghosts And memories that I'm clutching at Maybe I'm reaching back For something I never had Still it seems so real to me These ragged threads That lead me back to you Speaking of a) Men who can sing and b) Songs I feel bad about liking... And guess what I got for my birthday! Normally the retro stylings of 'Pain Fade Down' get posted as representative of the game, but I prefer the sombre solemnity of 'Impact of Silence', especially as the mournful piano is prevalent throughout the rest of the soundtrack. |
Why would you feel bad about liking something? Just like it, man. No matter what someone else says, you're entitled to an opinion. No reason be guilty about it.

This fucking this. Beat you Dixy |
Oi, I had a song.
YouTube fucked their Embed retrieval thing, it's all different now. How do I embed video? |
Press Share and then Embed.

Then you listen to it out loud to let people know that you have a diverse taste in music. If you manage to piss any of them off... extra points because they're not as open minded as you.
|
What Ridg3 said. If you know the song's rubbish, then why would you enjoy it?
Nah, I get what you mean. I'm just questioning for reasons I don't know. ANYWAYS, I'm seeing the Pixies tonight: So excited. |
|
I found this outstandingly brilliant. Anyone will recognise the final section of it.
|
To anyone out there that enjoyed Scar Symmetry. New album is out and it is better than Dark Matter Dimension. |

I'm sorry for posting so much Gorillaz lately, but damn, this song is just so beautiful. The video is really sad though, in the Feel Good inc. video you see the floating windmill island as a happy place and a symbol of freedom and in El Mãnana, the message is basically that nothing lasts long and the freedom is gone.

I almost cried during Where is my Mind, it was amazing. Highly recommend that anyone who is reading this goes to see them if they get the chance. |
In a big Zeppelin mood today, thought I'd share this. |
One of my favourite song by one of my favourite bands:
I love the lyrics to this. |

Happy Earth Day everyone :P |
I found out about this composer by reading the obituaries in the newspaper. I have yet to listen to more of his music, but it so far sounds good. |
My favourite song by a selection of my favourite bands. Though I doubt it will be everybodies cup of tea. I still recomend you try them out though
Slipknot - Duality Indica - Islands Of Light Epica - Resign To Surrender Doro - Herzblut Fear Factory - Pisschrist Kittie - Mouthfull Of Poison Queen - Don't Stop Me Now Weirc Al Yankovic - Ebay Song Warlock - East Meets West |

Don't stop me now is nice. It fit well in Shaun of the Dead.
|
Ridg3, I owe you rep.
In regards to JennyGenesis' post: I used to like Slipknot a few years ago, when I was 14 and full of angst. Also before I discovered "real" metal. Fear Factory is also an awesome band. Just giving my opinion. |

Well done for posting my favourite song ever. EVER. I saw him a few weeks back and he does the most kick ass live show. So so thankful to his audience. He's funny and an excellent musician to boot. Also; he played Earth day, which had me in a seizure for 9 minutes. |
No problem. Have to say that I'm insanely jealous that you went to see him, he's on my list to go see before either him or I kick the bucket. Hyped for Deconstruction and Ghost as well.
Turns out I'm pretty much addicted to Devin and he has to be probably the most innovative artist I've ever heard. It doesn't even sound as though I'm listening to a metal song when I listen to his work, just art appreciation. EDIT: Holy shit Bungle, you're right. The guest artists are the tits. Akerfeldt, Ihsahn and Dirk Verbeuren. This album is gonna explode. EDIT 2: My favorite Townsend track. |
I actually haven't heard very much of Devin Townsend's solo stuff. Only a few songs. I absolutely love this track, though:
|
I'm telling you, his solo work is a lot more better than Strapping (IMO anyways.)
Definitely one of modern day's greatest musicians. |
So I've heard, but City is a fucking amazing album. I'll check out his solo stuff soon.
|
Insomnium released their new single. Any fears of the album being not as good as the last album has been demolished. It sounds better, they just keep improving. |
what is this i dont even
♪ Oh, Save me Meat Boy, you’re the one that I need, Dr. Fetus, he can’t beat us, but he’s making you bleed! So won’t you save me, boy, I know you got what it takes, It’s the hour, use your power and come help save the day! ♫ It's based on 'Betus Blues', one of the best tracks in the game. |

Though realistically speaking, there's probably a couple dozen of his originals/parodies I could consider my favorite... |
