Shit's so much fun, especially when you randomly combine weapons and environmental effects. Plus the story was suprisingly decent at the end. |
:
Fun business with Harbinger, though: if you have Dominate (you get it it you betray Samara and recruit Morinth instead, you need a high Paragon or Renegade score to choose), it's basically AI hacking for organics, then you can turn him against his fellow collectors. You can't dominate him directly, he has no red health bar, but he always possesses the most wounded Collector, so bait one is such a way and use Dominate on him. If you time it right, Harbinger will possess him immediately after and fight for your side. If not, slide along cover to avoid being knocked out of it by that attack of his, and for god's sake, use Adrenalin Rush at every opportunity. Hardened, preferably, you'll need it when sprinting to a new piece of cover when he gets too close. |

Also, how long is it? |
It's pretty long. Seven Acts with about 2-3 chapters in each and full of very large expansive, vibrant levels. It's about as beautiful as Enslaved's ruined cityscape was, only it's got it's own architectural style, as it's set on a futuristic resort planet. You even wander through a 3D amusement ride complete with a shootout among a miniature city.
As for replayability, I kept experimenting with the skillshots and coming back to try new ideas. The levels are well-designed and it's a very entertaining game to play. It's also got more than a few team/competitive multiplayer modes too, and if you get the epic edition it's got a Gears 3 beta pass inside. It's really just a hella fun and hella replayable game. And a remote control godzilla dinosaur monster. |
I agree with Strike Witch on this one, Bulletstorm is great, I finished the story this morning and going to start playing the multiplayer today.

Completed it a few days ago, I found leaving Harbinger last in any given group (as challenging as it was) was more helpful than killing him outright only to possess another drone. I'm currently at Tali's recruitment mission, and want a nightmare it is. Just met Kal'Reager and I'd have to say, I don't know what's harder; pressing towards the Colossus or popping up to take a shot only to have my shields shredded in an instant. (I also found Grunt and Legion are immune to the harmful sun rays.) Legion's AI hacking has limited use, I have troubled pressing on when the two Prime's appear, I found moving up on the left the easiest of the three, I don't have the Colossus taking shots at me, but the amount of Geth troopers is hard to bypass. I restarted it because Grunt kept fucking charging into the fray and getting himself killed, so I replaced him with Garrus. Adrenaline Rush is useful, I just need 2 more points to advance it to it's greatest level, but agh...the difficulty curve is astounding. |
:
I really can't remember how I got past the colossus now, but I do remember that once you get close enough it stops recharging it's shields. Something you might consider is using the retrain abilities research in the lab, and redistribute your talent points to those more appropriate for the mission, even just temporarily. Adrenalin burst, shield boost and disruptor ammo seem best. It's weird to me that you already have Legion, since I save him for last because of the disaster that IFF brings down on the Normandy and I don't like losing anyone. But it's very funny when Tali meets him on Haestrom. |
As far as I know, secks before suicide mission with her results in CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE. She's not that appealing for an alien chick.
Retrain powers, gah. Why didn't I think of that? Do you not need to spend eezo for that, though? I'm saving up for a biotic upgrade. I had another dab on it earlier and managed to actually get right up to the Colossus, Mordin was a godsend though he died quite a few times, and I had to make do on my own after Garrus died since I ran outta damn medi-gel. :
I actually didn't think it was possible to get Legion before Tali, I did some N7 and anomalous missions to get some XP, you need to complete a certain amount of missions before the next part of the game becomes available, I didn't know optional missions and loyalty ones contributed towards this. And yes, Kal'Reager was not amused at Legion's presence, but he took all the help he could get. |

I know, that was directed at Morinth, who has a face like a god damn elbow.

Beat Bulletstorm a few days ago, it was pretty fun, but I thought it was short. The dialogue however is some of the best I've heard in a game, even if the ending sorta sucked. Haven't toyed around with Anarchy that much, but from what Ive played I dont really like it. Jumped back into MvC3 after that.

Borght BIT.TRIP BEAT on Steam today
Its Pong but just insane. |
Started playing Bulletstorm on very hard difficulty. I thought it was going to be a little harder, but I'm soon on Act 3 and I have only died 2 times. Only thing that bothers me is that the final chapters might be a pain in the ass. I struggled on the last two a bit while playing it on normal.

LIARAAAAA |
I'm sorry Dix. I had to make a choice.
|
I should go.
|
Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations.
|
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store on the Citadel.
|
Those Asari-Hanar porn games they sell in Shin Akiba are really nasty.
|
We'd better stop now before Nate comes down on us like a Krogan in heat.
|
Stop what?
Shh. |

De Blob 2. Dislike. It wouldn't be so bad if Blob didn't move so fucking slow, but he does.

Metal Gear Solid on PSP. Brings back a lotta memories.
|
I have to play something new.
I don't know what though. BAAAAA |
BULLETSTORM.
|
Finished playing the entire contents of my iPod on Audiosurf. Now I'm back on Super Meat Boy. Jill is my favourite alt at the moment, but Ol' Meaty is still the best.
Oh, and more Spelunky. |

|
Are you kidding?
This man IS Bulletstorm. |
That was the most manliest gameplay I have ever seen.
|
BUY THE FUCKING GAME. MAAAANLYYYYYYYY.
|
Retribution's coming out, the beta is epic and we might find out who the traitor from Chaos Rising is, since it can't be Martellus, Cyrus, Jonah or the Force Commander...and who wants it to be Avitus or Tarkus? Anywho gonna be shweeeet.
|
Got into Cities in Motion, a public transport simulator. Loving it so far :D
|
I have no dosh.
When I do gets some, I'll rent it first. I'm very cautious. |
